Totem Spirit - Taken Through Window Of The Royal British Columbia Museum Window With Reflection Of Sky Weaving Ghostly Image
The recent presentation to the VCC by Lee Nordbye inspired me to reprocess some ice sculpture images from a trip to Ilulissat, Greenland in 2003.

Operator cutting cement pavers with a sharp diamond saw blade. He has Proper ventilation & hearing protection but he's not wearing eye protection. tsk tsk tsk
Saw it and had to process it. Edit: Mistook this for an elliptical galaxy. It's a barred lenticular. Derp
Full disclosure: I used cloned data to fill in the chip gap because I couldn't accept the black stripe slicing across the galaxy. I took data immediately to the left of the gap and used it to cover up the gap. I then took data immediately to the right of the gap and moved it on top of the data from the left side and adjust the opacity to approximately 50% (whatever percent blends most invisibly). It is a very quick method and I personally cannot see where the gap used to be. I'm not sure it would work quite as well for a galaxy which contains more detail than smooth gradients.

VCC Day is a college-wide event where we join together to celebrate our strengths, envision the future, and re-energize.
I bought this 3 piece houndstooth tweed suit from a garage sale in Notting Hill in 1983. I paid 30pence for it. Back then I knew nothing about vintage bikes.I had bought the old suit so I could go out shooting with my Dad up in Scotland and because back in 1983 there was a fashion trend called ''Young Fogeys''. I wore it one winters day and stepped outside and within minutes was freezing cold, the chilly wind going straight through the material. It was years later when I discovered vintage tweed cycling suits from the 1930's that I realised what I had. The weave of the tweed is open to keep the rider cool. I wore it the Boot and Back once and this old gent said'' Cor. you're wearing the crack dress of the 1930's you are. You've made my day'' Indeed, he had made mine too.
