First, you must accept the fact that there is not a bad seat anywhere in Stresa. From all positions, you have a view of the hillsides, the lake, the rooftops. I always said that Stresa should be renamed NoStresa!
Stresa is a small town of about 5,000 inhabitants on the shores of the Lago (Lake) Maggiore in Italy. Since the early 20th century, the main source of income has been the tourist trade. It benefits from spectacular views as well as areas of historical and architectural interest.

I seem to be getting a backlog of photos so to freshen up my feed I thought I'd post this shot from a few months ago.
This was on one of my regular evening trips to see the owls when I came across this gorgeous youngster.
Although the owls don't show there is always plenty of other wildlife about particularly in Spring when this shot was taken.

Many thanks to everyone who takes the time to view and fave my photos and in particular to those kind enough to comment. It is very much appreciated.
Always good to get a high vantage when scouting for your humans. Beverly Canyon Trail, South Mountain Park, Phoenix
A Great Blue Heron takes advantage of the low lying branches to watch for anything that would make a meal, why get your feet wet when you don't have to!

More than a few people don't realize that the best arch in the Moab area is not in Arches National Park....but in Canyonlands National Park.
This is Mesa Arch - and it can get very crowded at this site in the early morning when the sun turns the underside of the arch a blazing rust color...
A red deer stag (Cervus elephus) takes a rest from the autumn rut - but makes sure he can still see everything that is going on.
Marshgate building, part of the UCL East campus in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Designed by architects Stanton Williams and completed in 2023.
I enjoyed observing this little jumping spider for a good while, following her through the foliage. It was interesting to note that there was a pattern of sorts, with definite preferred vantage points from which to watch for potential prey.
Here, she had made her way on to a sandstone rock next to an aloe plant, where she remained for 15 minutes, forever alert.
