This statue was a gift to the Vancouver Park Board from sculptor Elek Imredy. Unveiled June 10, 1972, she represents Vancouver's dependence on the sea.

I have tagged it a Rufus Hummingbird; female or maybe juvenile. I am really not sure as none of my reference books have any photos with this bird. I have gone by the description more than anything.

This was photographed at Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver BC just as the rain started to come down so my visit was cut short. If I am incorrect please let me know, not going to learn unless someone tells me.
