More He-Man-inspired figbarf. The colours! The goofiness! First up, the bad guys! From left to right:
Ruby Bloodmore! Evil and violent vampyre par excellence! She prefers to pulp her victims before she drinks them.
Painbow! Electromagnetic wave master. He can create hallucinations and mirages to confound his enemies.
Warhead! Demonic demon who can recharge his weapons from Hell's infinite armoury. He never runs out of ammo!
Mal Practice! No-one knows what's in his suitcase of evil but his patients all have a tendency of suffering extreme zombiefication.
Karen! Villainous robotic sniper with awesome hair!
EDIT: I just realised I used Jayna's torso instead of Zan's on Painbow, d'oh! During the making of, many characters get swapped from female to male depending on accessories, etc. And sometimes parts forget to get swapped back. Orrrrr, is it just Painbow creating the illusion of Jayna's torso in order to confuse you?! Ha! He is one dastardly fellow.

Every Month Sinister Event helps raise money for Don't Be a Monster. Don’t Be A Monster is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
that works alongside haunted attractions to provide free bullying prevention assemblies to schools across the United States of America.
You'll find the donation kiosks scattered around the event, as well as a portion of the proceeds of running the event go to this great cause.
Image of unknown provenance reportedly from the Colmore Collection. It would appear to be a preserved specimen of some sort but that is by no means a certainty. It was claimed by a prior owner of a museum oddities to be a photograph of a preserved Vampyre slain during a metamorphic transition. The contrary evidence that it came from the Colmore Collection suggests that it might be a creature of Faery. If that is the case, the 19th Century clothing is unlike anything I have seen in the images I have examined thus far.

With a second lockdown in place in the UK I thought it was high time to work on a new project to help the month go by.
It's pretty rare for me to build anything architecture related physically. But my designs for the digital scary laboratory really motivated me.
I liked the lattice window design I came up with, and really wanted to use it in a physical model.
Anyway, here's a short narration to go with the build:
'After the plans to use the moonstones were foiled by Prof. Rathbone, Lord Vampyre retreated from his castle to a smaller base of operations. Having allied himself with the mad scientist, the two worked together to build a machine inside the derelict clock tower that would allow the monster realm to pass into the human realm.
Having successfully captured the mad scientist's monster. Rathbone soon learnt what the evil vampire's plans were. Calling on the help of his allies Dr. Vaughn Jackson, Arthur Gunn and his beastly partner Micah. The four monster fighters travelled to the clocktower.
But as they approached, Lord Vampyre summoned the gargoyles to destroy the band of monster fighters. With Arthur and Prof. Rathbone entering the tower to thwart the evil plans Dr. Jackson and Micah fend off the stone monstrosities using The Duchess: Arthur's advanced and fantastical flying automobile.
The stakes have never been higher in this final battle...
Each month, I take the first suggestion offered as a theme for a photograph to be taken the following month.
In the comments section of my August photograph, four50photo suggested fear or scary - so here it is.
Do you have a suggestion for my October image?
Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Usually I do a Skywalker Family Fun photo but I couldn't come up with an original idea so this year, it's the Vampyre Family :-) I'm sure the Skywalker Family will be back by Christmas :-)
Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving everyone!
Okay, so this was my attempt at doing carriage design. Mainly because I wanted to test out my techniques for a potential Arthurverse variant of Techwest (which is like a futuristic advanced wild west genre).
As much as I liked the Vampyre hearse from monster fighters, I felt like it was a bit too modern for Lord Vampyre to use. He needed something more antiquated and supernatural. So I decided to make a carriage to use, pulled by two living skeleton horses.
The design originally was going to be a standard horse drawn hearse, but it kind of changed into a more stylised carriage with headroom for it's owner.
A minifigure can fit inside, there's nothing really in there apart from some dark red curved slopes forming a plush interior.

Draculaura and her cousin Vlad IV (son of Vlad the Impaler) in 15th century Transylvania.
Vlad is from the Create a Monster packs. Doesn't he look cool with his edgy hairstyle? My sister made his hair with paper and glue and then painted it with black acrylic paints.
What happens when your clients are fabulous and jet-setting, and can only meet you in the nighttime? What the heck, I say, embrace it. I shot 98 percent of this nighttime shoot without flash or tripod, just the great NYC ambient and some steady hands. I liked the challenge because it let me go to some areas I normally avoid as overdone (Central Park by the Boathouse, for instance) and give it a very different look than the hundreds of other shoots done there every week.
The title is a NYC-specific pun, since they're being lit by Amsterdam Ave.

The plan was simple: hide in the tower, then silently jump from a roof, like a ninja, while the witch (Ann's note: with a B!) is busy with her potion in the moonlight. But it turned out Lord Vampyre's Bride wasn't as distracted as she pretended to be! Ann was swift, but no human is a match for vampire's reflexes. The Bride instantly turned around and deflected the bolt with a wooden spoon, as if it were a paper plane.
"Hello, dearie."
Fun fact: did you know that according to the official lore, Ann Lee was proficient in the ancient art of broomstickajitzu and got her scar from a witch nail?
But there's no witches in Monster Fighters... except for Lord Vampyre's Bride, who, according to the lore, is a master of hexes and potions.
And considering that Ann's hometown is, quote, UNKNOWN, and she wears garlic and aspen stakes all the time despite never facing any vampire character in a set (her arch-enemies are the ghosts, she also fought the mummy), it really makes you wonder - who exactly taught her an ancient art of broomstickajitzu? ;)
And when did it happen? Well, it's also possible that Vampyre's Bride stays eternally young, while Ann gets older... She wasn't grumpy all the time! And it's clear they wasn't always enemies with the Bride, but something did happen... but that didn't make them arch-enemies either, despite the scar... so it's complicated.
By the way, I still hate the fact that Lord Vampyre's Bride is just an addition to her husband. She doesn't even have a name, and moreover, despite the fact that her description and official bio calls her his wife, the minifigure itself officially called his bride, which is confusing. She could have been called Lady Vampyre, then at least that question would be solved.
Also worth noting that Ann Lee is still one of the most brutal looking female Lego characters, especially considering she's not even the villain! And I like her exactly for that, she's one of my most favorite Lego minifigures! :D That scar... she does remind me of Scar from The Lion King, or Kovu, since she's on the good team. xD Well, because of that, my own addition to the canon is, that since she's a pilot and she looks very tough, I think she might be a swearing person. Sorry not sorry. xD
So I wanted to share my little headcanon with you, because it actually fills the gaps in the official lore. For this I even bought the set that I wanted in childhood - the castle! It happened last spring (not this spring!), but the set was in a very sad condition (no minifigures - those are from my own collection, missing parts including some super rare, missing stickers, broken Reddish Brown parts, yellowed Gray parts, dust and plasticine) - hence the low price. Well, it was too big and dirty so I just kept it in a parcel box waiting for a lots of free time to clean it. I still don't have free time, but I had to reduce the number of boxes I have, so I spent my weekend mostly cleaning the set, even though I have so much other things to do. Oh well, I'm always running out of time!
Based on the Queens of the Stone Age album cover. Queens are my favorite band, my son and I play their music on our guitars, well some of it anyway. Some of it's not that appropriate for a youngster :)
