Certain breeds of dogs have to beware of the UV rays at high altitudes. Border Collies are one of those breeds. Shizandra had Pannus, a disease that was caused by the sun's rays. But, with diligent medications and Doggles we have managed to get rid of it...yay!!! She is still on her meds and still has to wear her doggles as long as we live here.
No end to this road ahead, my choice alone it was to take. Fear is to think that I will fall asleep when I'm still awake...in dire need of rest...oh where is she to phone and give me strength and zest? I beg to please communicate before I fall into sleep, phone and say you are mine to forever hold and keep. I notice not...one bent pole has a broken wire, my incessant fears could have been much less dire!; unbeknownst I pray - heard only by this lone discarded rock..."her heart I need to enter when I arrive with love and knock"...
This day, the sun could not even reveal the emptiness I once felt towards a person named me. Drowning in tears, glittering drops further disturb my reflection in the sea. My wish is to be free...a slave no more in the arms of my faceless adversary, him which hoists the flag of misery. Imperfect little boat named black pearl I may be, yes, I no longer hold to any a worthy appeal; fear is to drift away without hearing my own souls plea, "unanchor and become the master of your own destiny!"...
Never will you learn....winds pick up and forces you to look back at yourself in turn...never, will you learn...kick me I will still spurn! Hold and whisper to me "you will still in time find what you yearn"....no, words are not what I want, when will you ever learn? Untie and save my thoughts, so cold and lonely; it's not empty promises of dreams that can sustain me...love planted as a seed, deep in my heart to flourish, grow tall and anchor my soul is what I need. Truth that the wheel for me in future will turn? Windpump on the hill....an answer I await to this day still...
Breathing slowly inside, all corners of my world now slowly collapse and collide...mind in two; sit with myself or venture out, my thoughts do not agree, what sayeth You? Mind in silence, no end to the oceans raging and destructive violence - such I fear will be my demise if this standing I does not overcome this irony of consequence; join the feeding frenzy for my loneliness later or eat away at myself before they realize my minds in absence?...
This probably won't be up for long...it is just haunting me at the moment.
The odd thing about the image is that my sister is truly beautiful and has amazing skin. By stumbling upon 'blue filter' I have found the most unflattering effect in the world ever. Her skin looks spot ridden, and extremely sun damaged. Other than that, edit was pretty much non existent.
So just wanted to see people's thoughts, if anything. x
A look, a stare, early morning envious glare...look, an incoming call; seems to crude to label her technologies thrall. Wired or wireless, both I presume could care less. When this day ends, the children of one will give many a welcoming caress, the other walks of with alluring youth, a man to help free her from this poverty stricken mess? I continue on with my journey and openly now profess...what really happened I do not know, I can only drive past and try to guess...

Toning experiments which turned out kinda hideous -- heavy tannin up front, dipped in ammonia and a little baking soda, in between with baths of peroxide. The paper grew angry and tantrummed itself into fiber glom.
Digital negatives exposed to the sun for ten minutes and developed in water, vinegar and oxidized rapidly in hydrogen peroxied. Toned by a monkey.
Corey, Mike and I take a break from shovel duty to soak up the view and some rays on a springy, fresh-pow day in April.

Anticipation never ceased this day regardless of distance and slow ticking time. My heart beats faster as I'm told to "turn right at the DGT sign"...a few seconds left to think of passionate words that would rhyme - perhaps, only saying "I love you" would be a simpler way of making her forever mine? Memories still so vivid even if a few days without her in my arms have now past...we were, together at last! All I wonder is how did this wonderful week end so very very fast?...
This was on our sailing trip last year (2010) where we saw this. We ate dinner while watching this amazing sunset.
So, I own a tanning canopy. It's like a tanning bed, except it's only the top part of a tanning bed. This was one of the less expensive models, so that's why there's metal caging and not an acrylic sheet like most. I just thought I'd take a photo of it because I thought it always looked kinda cool. =) This was taken awhile ago with my Motorola camera phone. I haven't tanned (or turned it on) in over a year now. =)

Cyanotype on young adult educational material dealing with General Washington being all-around bad-ass.
Digital negative of a zombie on hand-coated paper exposed to the burning rays of the yellow sun for ten minutes and developed in vinegar, water, ammonia and tea-explosions. Peroxide was used to get on with the oxidizing already.
This was taken with a 62 mm B + W 403 filter which I attached to my Tamron 18-200mm lens. The camera was a Digital Rebel XT / EOS 350D. Captured in RAW, processed in Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop.
This image is a mixture of visible light, infrared and ultraviolet light. I like that the final result is very much like Kodak EIR.
