A submarine in Hood Canal approaching the floating Hood Canal bridge. The bridge drawspan will open to allow passage inadvertently creating bold lines of red in Google and Waze maps as cars wait for the bridge to reopen.

A little different than my normal photos, but I like this shot. My wife and I were heading out for an Alaskan wilderness experience. Eielson AFB was having an airshow so they closed down the Richardson Highway while the show was on. (the highway parallels the runway about an eighth mile away) So instead of just sitting there, took a few photos, this one being my favorite.

My grandfather's Navy hat. When the US entered World War II, the government expanded the age requirement for those drafted to 18-37 year olds. My grandfather was 36 when he was drafted.
Another view of the US Navy Lockheed EP-3E Aries II BuAerNo.157326 (PR)326 landing at RAF Mildenhall
Noticeable in this view is the lack of the MAD Boom that all other variants of the P-3 have. Used for Magnetic Anomaly Detection - that feature is redundant in this Aerial Reconnaissance and Signals Reconnaissance platform version of this Electra airliner derivative
Flown by Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron 1 (VQ-1) 'World Watchers' this side view also shows to advantage the various fairings, lumps, bumps, sensors and aerials hung on the Alison T56 Turbo-prop powered fifty plus year old design

The US Navy 'Blue Angels' make their signature overlapping curving pass during their display at the NAS Jacksonville Airshow
Maybe Number '4' seems to have been feeling a bit shy but I think they purposely shift into pairs as they pull the curve!
