User can inform the system that he or she already have the classic or gamecube controller. After that, there's no need to show alert messages when downloading games.
I have heard from several folks that I should take a look at Songbird, which is an open source music player built on Mozilla. So I downloaded it and tried it out. It too couldn't find my music (in a volume called "media" in a folder called "music", I know, not obvious), BUT, it did provide a dialog letting me choose my music folder (unlike iTunes).
It took a few moments to scan my music but then I noticed the checkbox.
[X] Watch this folder for new media
This is one of those things I've always wanted in both iTunes and SoundJam before that. Why do I have to have explicitly "add" music in iTunes? It should simply watch my music folder, and if I copy new MP3s there (say, from another machine on which I ripped the MP3s from CDs), they should automatically show up. SongBird appears to do this.

CSS wrapping broken on Firefox 2.0.0.2 during the colour testing. There are other problems, but I won't document them here.. Quirks mode is quirky, after all..

Invited to deliver a talk in Bangalore at GIDS: Great Indian Developer Summit. The title: 'What Every Developer Must Know About User-Interface Design and UX’. The event was held at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
As I started speaking, the room started filling. Within minutes, all the seats were taken. People kept pouring in. Soon some were seated on the floor. Others crowded the aisles. In another few minutes even the corridor leading to the room was filled with people. What an experience! I was besieged with questions and chats once the talk finished, and within no time the seats to my Design workshop to be held the next day was sold out to max capacity! Bangalore!
GIDS talk on 22 April 2015.
