The TruBid app that I designed went live last week!
TruBid's original business model used a spreadsheet that was created to help roofing contractors generate accurate quotes and proposals. Although successful, TruBid knew that they could provide an even easier way for their contractors to use and generate these quotes and proposals. That's when TruBid approached us to design and develop the front-end of a web application that could be used by contractors online.
I worked closely with TruBid and a back-end developer for three months to finalize the app that you now see today.
If you'd like to see more of the app, you can sign up at www.trubid.co

I went past this screen twice while finalizing a flight with Northwest Airlines.
I never touched the Frequent Flyer Program section, so I was a bit thrown when it told me I had selected a loyalty program and needed to deselect the name to continue. Thrown further because there's no way to deselect the name shown in the pop-up menu.
The should-have-been-selected-by-default radio button two inches to the left of "No Frequent Flyer Program" did the trick, natch'.
After entering my payment info at nwa.com, I was greeted by this block of text, centered on a sea of white.
1) I didn't ask to be activated in Verified by Visa.
2) If I want my plane tickets, I can't bypass this.
3) I don't need yet another password to do credit card transactions with (that's what my card number and security code are for -- and if they're so vulnerable, what makes yet another code so special?)
4) This page feels very "phishy," looking nothing at all like the web site I was on.
5) I really needed the card expiration field obfuscated by bullets? My zip code?
The next day, I made a software purchase through kagi.com. They said that if I was in the Verified by Visa program, I might be asked for a password. I wasn't. I feel more secure already!
