Clem and Floyd had been at the movies. They got to wondering how some of the magic parts were done. You know, like when Dorothy and her crew are approaching the Emerald City. Surely them Hollywood folks didn’t build something as big as a whole city did they? How could they?
The boys went to the Library and it was there that they learned about something called, “Forced Perspective” photography. Librarian, Opal Higgins had a couple of books on the topic.
From what they could tell, the whole technique appeared to have been invented by a fellow named Michael Paul Smith.
Clem and Floyd had been making models since they were kids. Inspired by the work of Mr. Smith, they were just itching to try their hands at a little Movie Magic.
