Highlighted with white ink, added some glazes here and there, and then glazed the whole model with very thin Apothecary White to soften the skin.
A bit basic and hard to photograph, but I think on dark bases and with a bit of blood they'll look about right.
Added some gore with UHU, Typhus Corrosion and BftBG. Cleaned up and varnished the bases then gave the purple sections a couple of coats of Klear.
Et voila.
I photographed the others as well but I want to re-shoot them in this format as it's quite pretty.
I think a big part of the reason I put off painting any of the BF models is that I wasn't sure how to base them. Both in terms of look, and dealing with the Slottabase.
These are inspired by the cardboard tile artwork, albeit simplified. The raised bits are scraps of styrene, the surface is smoothed with CA and the black detritus is crushed coal in matt medium.
Blue paint is Incubi Darkness plus Sotek Green and Baharroth Blue lines glazed down with Terradon Turquoise and Aethermatic Blue.
Purple paint is Naggaroth Night or Daemonette Hide plus Emperor's Children and Fulgrim Pink lines glazed with Magos Purple and Shyish Purple.
White spots are white ink.
I think it works OK but a bit more care and attention would pay dividends. Good for a unit base though.
I really liked the studio scheme for these so I'm not trying to innovate!
Very very simple paint job so far using Contrast over a grey-white primer.
The basic skin is Apothecary White with a hint of Aethermatic Blue. Then the feet have been built up a little with Gryph Charger Grey and the hands and faces are blended with thinned Magus Purple with some neat in the palms.
Showing how far the spots extend down the back (not very!) and I guess the rest of the sculpted detail as well.
My highlights look a bit agricultural here...
