I've had the thing for 3 days and it won't turn on. I am NOT impressed and this is almost the final straw. I'm thinking of selling ALL my Nikon gear and turning to Canon. I've never had so many problems. My D80 broke down not long after I got it too.

So now if my only option is to have it fixed, I'll probably have to wait several months before I can actually use it. And I have a wedding to practice on in a couple of weeks. Doesn't look like I can do that now.

I've tried a different lens and a different battery - still won't turn on. Earlier today, I had some problems - it wouldn't turn off and was taking strange pixelated photos as well as black photos and just before the shutter snapped, it would go completely out of focus. It doesn't acknowledge the battery at all (the batter meter doesn't show when you put it in). Shame I didn't keep those images... I never knew I would have a Lemon camera AGAIN.

I've tried the same lens and battery on the D80 and I have no problems.

Any ideas?

I'm yet to hear back from the company I purchased it through to see if I can either get a refund or a replacement, I'll be stuffed if I'm taking this to get fixed only for something else to go wrong down the track.

UPDATE: I have got in contact with the Ebay seller who has asked for me to send back and if DOA, they will offer a replacement!

I am happy to report that all six kittens have gone to good homes. The last three girls were taken yesterday by a family near here. They came and chose one around 2pm. Then last night, around 8pm, Lins got a text, asking if they could come for another one right now. When they got here, they took the last two, so they would be all together.

Momma was okay when the boys left, but last night she kept me awake crying. She’s going to need lots of petting and reassurance over the next few days.

Blessings to Judy, Nancy, and Joline for their kindness, (and maybe insanity), in taking on kittens.

Hi everyone- I have been so busy lately and haven’t had much time for Flickr and dolls. This time of year is also notoriously slow and sad and 2021 as a year definitely isn’t helping! LOL. I just wanted to share these two new silkstones that came in recently. I still have a few dolls I am going to sell so that I can add “Sunday Best” to this shelf. These dolls make me think of Spring and a hopeful future.

Updated my Watson a little bit. I think the Imperial Officer head works quite well for him. Of course, he hasn’t got the „classic“ brown hair tone, but I don’t think we ever got to know what colour his hairs had, right? ;)

Also gave him his revolver he got as an soldier in India, which he had with him in various dangerous adventures.

Made a new, thinner jacket for my Negan out of E-tape. Also added some E-tape cuff to the arms. Credit for that goes to Shane.

Also made him a new 3rd brown belt also out of E-Tape. Credit for the little wire tubes on it go to Aaron.

6 years ago I've built Dwarven gyrocopter from Warhammer universe. Because of war with f*cking russians there is no mood to build something new. So I decided just to improve old MOCs as a part of the update my Dwarven army.

Here I tried to make it more similar to the original.

It's been a while, and it doesn't look that different from my last update, but behold: it is supporting its own weight. Much of my recent progress has been structural.

UPDATE: This model is now complete.

So this is like a slightly more updated version of this. My concept is similar obviously, but it's more current I guess. The thing is that by next Friday the whole college application thing is over, since they'll all be due, and cooper will also have made a decision about my hometest. So I guess I'm equally scared, but so much more excited to think that I'm finally moving on. So I guess to me this is my own version of new horizons, and leaving behind the past, because after this week the future I've dreamed about will be finally decided. Also if I'm straight up accepted or denied then I'll post the rest of my hometest soon.

Nice groupshot of some updated villains. I got a lot of these parts from the new CMF's which absolutely great, I would definitely recommend getting as many as you can.

From Left to Right:

Ivy Thug- This whole figure is pretty much just Chaos Son of SoS's design so credit to him for the cool idea.

Mad Hatter- After I posted that pic last night I decided to go with the lime green hands. Although white had the most votes they just didn't look right to me so I went with the second place winner. Plus it matches his tie so that's nice.

Scarecrow- Didn't really do much for him, just gave him a pumpkin bomb which I think turned out pretty good.

Hugo Strange- Nothing crazy here, a few other people have also already used these designs.

Arkham Harley- I know that a shit ton of people were talking about using the Zombie Cheerleader's hair for Harley so I'm not trying to say that I was the first one to think of it, although I don't think anyone has posted one yet.

Some new parts, some old figures, you know how this works.

Left to right:

Cyborg Superman: Still in love with the long hand New 52 design. New mask, cuff, arm, legs... basically everything, but a similar vibe. I'll die before a perfect version of this figure exists.

Atrocitus: Trying the new Carnage head, but the main update is the armor: the old Praetorian Guard armor didn't quite fit with the piece I'm using as neck armor, this new one fits quite nicely. Also new cuffs and black ring piece.

Deathstroke: Very similar to my last design, but I got the official figure after an offer came up in response to that last post! I already posted this design (more or less) to my IG story, but I wanted to make it an official post.

short one to say: i'm not dead, i still exist. life goes on.

part of me wants to come back here again, but if i don't, anything of interest at all, will appear on my ghost either exclusively or in tandem.

and 'of interest' is a very subjective term.

i hope everyone here is feeling well and continuing on in the best way possible because flickr was my lifeline for a very long time.

(whether that tense remains past and not present or to what degree it has any meaning at all - again i don't know yet.)

Updated to post correct id. A number of harebells are blooming right now (August 30) in the Raven Roost Trailhead area and along the trail. Located in Yakima County, Washington. I planted them in my yard a few years ago. They bloom much earlier in the year at my home. IMG_9932

The Minifier base was designed to fit into my lunar surface, which I build quite a while ago. I'd since bought a lot of parts that I used to upgrade it. It's now 4 plates wide and 2 deep, of which the right most 2 x 2 plates are shown here. I'd like to make it 3 plates deep so I can add a landing spot for the Disqualifier as well. I will probably also rework the surface a lot more, as I feel it could have more depth and some more rocks too.

So I’ve been working on some figs.

LtR:

-Blackwatch Reyes-

I played the Retribution event and I wanted to make an Overwatch fig. I chose Reyes, because he’s simple and I hated my old version. This is coming out nicely, and I don’t want to show too much off.

He’ll probably be my first post since this update.

-Help!-

I started another Black Panther mask, but I never made a full fig.

Should I make:

1- Shuri (in concept suit)

2- Killmonger

3- Another Black Panther fig

I’m leaning towards a Shuri figure.

-Spider-Man-

Making an Iron Spider (not IW). Just showing him off until I get around to finishing him.

-Idea-

So I have this old skeleton torso (from a scrapped fig) and I was thinking about making Cyborg. I was thinking magnetic arms and maybe even legs, but I have no idea how to incorporate magnets into Minifigs, so help me if you can.

I’ll have to order some magnets to do this though.

If you have another idea, don’t hesitate to comment!

-Bonus Idea-

Would you want to see some Fortnite figs? I’ve thinking about starting one or two. The pickaxes would be really fun to make (depending on the ones I choose), so it was just a thought.

A long overdue update to my favorite Brickmania kit. The turret sides were my own design and I modified the suspension to make all the wheels the same. Also I removed the strange technic piece that joined the gun to the mantlet which looked horribly inaccurate. My Panther/Panzer IV is getting the same upgrades but I need to order some more parts.

1966 Ford GT40 updated, reduced visible gaps at front & back, also added some engine details.

So it's summer now :) And i'm loving itt !

i'm leaving to Spain this Thursday, for the first time ever, we bought a house there :) i'm so excited . So i won't be updating for a while , but i'll have loadsa pics by the time i get back (hopefully )

anyways , i was at the beach with a couple of friends, and we were messing about in the pool and stuff, and this kitty comes along . its so cutee :*

i named it Tiger , its fur patterns amazing .

I really wanted to take it home, but i havee 2 puppies and a dog :/
