Next week's tutorial is the remake of an old one... from 6 years ago! It has better pictures, gives more detailed instructions and features one of my favorite upcycled materials: cereal boxes! Stay tuned!

Il tutorial per la prossima settimana è il remake di uno vecchio... di 6 anni fa! Ha le foto migliori, dà le istruzioni più dettagliate e usa uno dei materiali che preferisco in assoluto: le scatole dei cereali recuperate! A breve!
New blog post! I've remade one of my most read and shared tutorials over the past six years. Now it's clearer, has more photos and looks a whole lot nicer! Plus I get a little off-topic talking about some totally non-related bits of my personal past.
Come check it out and make some awesome cereal box woven baskets! --> www.cucicucicoo.com/2016/10/diy-woven-paper-baskets/

I made this twig tree wall decor about two years ago just for a weekend project, and I dismantled it so I can show you how to do it. Awww, I didn’t have to, right? I could’ve just made another one, I know but I had to fix it up anyway. So I’m not that thoughtful as you might think…well…
Before you throw the twigs into your yard waste bag, pick out the good ones. And by that, I mean those that aren’t brittle. You can pick different sizes. Here is complete list of the materials you need for this DIY:
Twigs
Brown thread
Scissors
Cardboard
Pencil
Glue gun
Scrapbook paper or construction paper
Glue stick
White glue
Play around with the twigs first and try to form a tree shape by placing the sticks together. The first one you have to form is the trunk of the tree. Tie it tight in a bundle with brown thread or string.
Then with shorter twigs, you can form the pseudo branches. What I did was insert a twig at a time through the bundled up twigs. Wherever I could see an opening to loop and intertwine. When you get a good set of twigs together that look good in one section of the tree top, tie it tight in a bundle to secure it.
The tied bundles still need to be secured so at this point, use your glue gun to put hot glue on the sections of the bundles where you can glue them to a secure twig.
Cut out the bird shapes. Then use another printed paper to make the wings, just cut them into teardrop shapes. Paste, the tear drop, shapes onto the middle section of the bird cut-out.
Get brown thread and cut about 6″ then loop it and knot the edge. Cut small paper squares and glue that onto the back of your bird cut out with the thread in between. Let it dry.
Hang the twig tree wall decor on the wall, and then you can place your paper birds. Was that easy or what! Decorate your wall with this DIY or give it as a gift. Whoever receives this will definitely be so delighted.
I love making crafts or art out of non-perishable trash. This cardboard art / craft was originally a pizza stone box. Tutorial here: allthumbscrafts.blogspot.com/2011/03/cardboard-wall-art.html
How much preparations do you make for the Christmas celebration? I always enjoy this even to the max. I throw parties and family get together, make Christmas trees and bring home a lot of gifts for the kids. Make santa clause and distribute gifts among the kids. Since we have planned to recycle some trashed bottles for the Christmas, here is a beautiful demonstration of recycling bottles for Christmas event.
I have created a hand sewn mobile from vintage hankies. Each bird is unique with snoozing hand embroidered eyes. www.madeit.com.au/detail.asp?id=599423

Wine and champagne is a must have in every house hold of west. No dinner lunches or parties are meant to be complete without some fine wine or champagne. So its pretty obvious that we collect a number of cork stoppers daily in every house hold. So do not just considerate a piece of crap or trash, pick it up and ponder on its beautiful shape and structure and think about recycling it into some real art craft that you could place in your living room or anywhere in the house as some center piece.
