Sagar , ein weit abgelegenes Dorf im Süden des Inle Ses mit alten aus dem 16-17. Jh stammenden Stupas die teilweise jedes Jahr für Monate unter Wasser stehen. "Die Ruinen werden "versunkene Stupas von Sagar" genannt. Bei unserem Besuch war es gottseidank größtenteils trocken.

Here he is standing at dawn, like an insect among giants of sandstone that are already standing here bevor humans even found any term to express time. His eyes are wandering across a landscape what is so breathtaking and so multi-faceted that he knows, he will not be able to conceive it completely in his entire life. Still he will try it, over and over again. Because its worth it.

Da steht er nun in der Morgendämmerung, gleich einem Insekt unter Giganten aus Sandstein welche schon hier waren, bevor der Mensch enen Begriff für Zeit gefunden hatte. Er lässt seinen Blick über eine Landschaft schweifen die so atemberaubend und so vielschichtig ist, dass er weiß, er wird sie in seinem ganzen Leben nicht voll erfassen können. Trotzdem wird er es versuchen, immer wieder. Weil es sich lohnt.

Hier wartet eine Lindenfrucht auf den Windstoß, der sie in die weite Welt fliegen lässt.

Die Staatsoper Unter den Linden wurde "im Auftrag Friedrichs II. in den Jahren 1741–1743 erbaut. Sie ist das älteste Opernhaus Berlins und das „erste bedeutende Theater überhaupt, das als monumentales, frei stehendes Bauwerk in einer Stadt errichtet wurde." Wikipedia

Im 2. Weltkrieg zerstört, wurde es Anfang der 50er Jahre wieder aufgebaut. Sie bildet mit der Deutschen Oper Berlin, der Komischen Oper, dem Staatsballett und dem Bühnenservice Berlin die Stiftung Oper in Berlin.

Destroyed in World War 2, it was rebuilt in the early 1950s. Together with the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Komische Oper, the Staatsballett and the Bühnenservice Berlin, it forms the Stiftung Oper in Berlin.

alter Elbtunnel Hamburg

zeigt sich der Meeresboden bei Niedrigwasser. Es sieht aus wie Eiweißschaum, ist aber harter Kalkfelsen, der durch das Wasser geformt wurde und im Sonnenlicht leuchtet. Der Tidenhub ist erheblich und reicht bei Hochwasser bis an die Felswand heran.

diese gewaltige Wolke zog über das Land ließ kräftige Schneeschauer niedergehen.

Erst zuhause erkannte ich in der Wolke ein riesiges Monster, rechts der Kopf.

"Unter dem Bogen" (English: "Under the Arch") is the name of an alley in Augsburg that connects Annastraße and Philippine-Welser-Straße respectively the town hall square (Rathausplatz). Until the bombing on the night of 25-26 February 1944, a building blocked the view of the Renaissance town hall. After the war this completely destroyed building was not rebuilt, instead this beautiful large town hall square was created.
