Amateur oil painting; view of Framlingham Castle.

I think the frame of this one is better quality than the painting, but you never know!

I spent less time at the Unsigned tent this year - largely because the Carling tent has moved deeper into the festival ground and so I'd have less reason to be in the area.

All the bands on the stage are local to Leeds, and competed on BBC Radio Leeds and York to get to play.

I remember the name of one of the acts - The Aeroplanes (airplanes?), but I'm pretty sure this isn't them. Anyone any ideas?

I pass this every time I go up to Pender Harbour! It allways makes me smile inside. Just a frame nailed to the tree at the top of someone's driveway.

The unsigned painting is attributed to Anna Roenicke. Comprised of oil on canvas, it is set in a wooden frame embellished with gesso. It was likely created in Oregon, as the subject matter is Haystack Rock on the Oregon Coast. Believed to be painted prior to 1904 when the presumed artist died, the steam ship in the background is also indicative of a late 19th or early 20th Century provenance. The painting was gifted to the current owner from the Estate of Hazel Roenicke, daughter of the presumed artist.
