Kate Walsh, the Brighton-based singer-songwriter whose unsigned, home-made album ‘Tim’s House’ was an iTunes sensation in 2007 (knocking Take That off the number 1 spot), returns with a brand new album on August 31 and will tour the UK from late September.
The new album, ‘Light & Dark', was produced by Tim Bidwell and mixed by Andy Green and features guest appearances from Turin Brakes and Crispin Hunt (from her favourite band Longpigs).

A fav of mine that I wrote. This song is so personal to me and Ive worked on it passionatley. The 1st one I wrote had a completely different chorus. I didnt realize exactly how theraputic writing songs is for me til recently. Anyhow, take a listen, read along and leave a comment.

I allow myself to be affected by the scenery I see around me, and the feelings it provokes. Regarding growth as my inexhaustible source of inspiration, my work reflects my appreciation for nature, but with living in the big city an urban influence has sneaked its way in.
Interaction between humankind and the natural world interests me. Organic forms spring to life in my jewellery, contrasted by 'plastic', man-made tones.
The sensual flowing designs attract the daring, craving attention from its audiences like the appeal between a bee and the vibrant flower growing between the cracks of a concrete pavement.

Singer-Songwriter Nuel and his 4 piece Pop/Rock band have recently bought out an album called Sweet Talker. This is a beautifully produced album by Jean-Pierre von Dach - who incidentally also plays on the album - featuring the sensitive and thoughtful songs written by 29-year old Nuel from Zurich. Nuel may have been influenced by Seventies Rock but his songs definitely fill a niche so lacking in today’s music market.
