NZ Trials training ran their first small group training day in July 2019 at Western Valley near Little River. The property is known for being slippery in the gullies, and the rain over the previous couple of days ensured it was the perfect venue to learn new skills. The days comprised one group in the morning which is when these photos were taken, then my turn in the afternoon. We started on a slippery hill which was difficult to walk up and were shown how to ride up and how to keep moving to prevent a five. Over the course of riding a number of sections we were given guidance on braking, clutch control, body position, and gear selection. The drizzly weather wasn’t noticeable under the trees and the day gave me some advice on riding the slippery conditions I have always struggled with. Thanks to Jules assisted by David and Derek. All I have to do now is unlearn some of my bad riding habits.
Jules ran a second training day at McQueens Valley the next day, and has a number of other training days planned. At present these are Kaikoura on 10/11 August and in the North Island at Lake Kimihia near Huntly on 25 August.
Enjoy the photos.
I am headless without a turban.
I used to wear a 6 meter turban.
Later walking with the Malangs from Delhi to Ajmer I bought 14 meter turbans worn in Jodhpur from Dudu Rajasthan.
I prefer Turbans during Moharam I wear black otherwise colorful ones.

The illiterates of today aren't those who cannot read or write, rather those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. And hence to help us become literates, the aim of our education institutes should be to teach us how to think, rather than what to think, and enable us to think for ourselves, rather than cramming our memories with the thoughts of others.
But then of course, with all said and done, nothing is complete without willingness and desire.
As that old proverb goes...
"Ye can lead a man up to the university, but you can't make him think!"

"...The natural attempt of theorists is to continue to revise and evolve theories as conditions change. At some point, however, the underlying conditions have altered so significantly, that further modification is no longer sensible. An entirely new approach is needed..."

Bo received notice yesterday of his acceptance by the University of Arizona Dance Department.
The U of A Dance Department requires evidence of outstanding talent and proficiency in Ballet, Modern Dance, and jazz.
Congratulations to Arizona Ballet Theatre's Dancer Bo.
And, congratulations to his devoted teachers Miss Cecily(ballet), Miss Megan(Jazz), and Mister Norman Walker(Modern Dance).
Fortunately for Bo, two years ago someone suggested he take class at Arizona Ballet Theatre.

In just two short years, Bo was able to unlearn all his bad habits from his former schools, and was able to benefit fully from the training by the finest of teachers ...

160/365. I definitely made this harder than it had to be: noon sun, fire and a flash. It taught me things like I never want to shoot this combo again and reminded of the bad habits that I have to unlearn.

I have an image of myself as a tree made of metal. All the branches, twigs, and buds had become, gradually, hardened. I had become an image of myself, silvery and arrested. A collection of past routes.
Where was the new life? What had 'I' become?
And now? God has been taking those branches off me one by painful one. He has cast them into the furnace, the crucible. I can keep nothing, although I desperately want to hold on to something and call it my own.
No, they all have to go. I plead, I weep, I try to run away, I exhaust myself with the yearning, but I know. I know there is no other way. Love would have this of me. I have asked and It is responding.
I need everything melted until all the impurities and rigidity are no more. All my thinking must be reversed, unlearned. Until all that is left is pure fluid love.
He would have me surrender gladly my little special something for His glorious Everything. And yet I hold so tightly to my little specialness.
I have so much love surrounding me. I can take no wrong step. I ask for graciousness and an open hand.

Shooting #Shiasm in Mumbai
I stopped shooting Moharam in Mumbai since 2012.. Started shooting Moharam in other metro cities like Lucknow Kolkatta Hyderabad Chennai Delhi HussainTekriJaorah Mehmoodabad.
However after my recent heart attack low immunity and diabetes I was advised by my cardiologist and endocrinologist to avoid crowds.
I have not documented Moharam last two years.
A very dear friend wanted to sponsor my walk from Najaf to Karbala last 2 years but I politely refused.
He helped me financially during my surgery.
I am indebted to him.
My Faith is scripted in blood even my daggers that I used for my Kamazani were blessed at the Brahma temple Pushkar.

Me and My World
This was the first and last time I did sword Matam on the streets of Dongri in a Chehlum procession going to the Shia cemetery Rehmatabad.
The sword belonged to an Irani guy and we use the same without cleaning it perhaps a little rose water.
I have shot a lot of sword matamdars and this is a form of self inflicted mourning among the Shias youth of Mumbai.
You won't find this in any other city..
Though a few guys use the sword on their heads in Hyderabad Irani gully during Bibi ka Alam procession..
I have shot Ashura in Hyderabad with two of my friends @boazimages and @fotravelphoto .

Masters Of War
Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks
You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly
Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain
You fasten the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud
You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins
How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
Even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do
Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul
And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

Two cocks
One human
The other in the shape of a clock
For the price of none
One standing erect
Tumescent
On the carter road promenade
Under the setting sun
He other tired flaccid
After a jog and a run
The day for one, already over
The other the day has just begun
So much, so much unfinished tasks
Undone
Battles yet to be fought
Yet to be won
Vaginal vagaries
Home spun
Yes the chicks have come home to roost
Calories dying to orgiastically burn
Tears crying in an urn
As they are wantonly spurned
A thought unturned
Oh what a waste my pictures and my poetry

Zip is a garment that connects to your phone or music player and allows you to control it simply by performing natural gestures that are built into the mechanics of the garments we wear. In this case, zip up to increase the volume, zip down to decrease it, and tug on the pullstraps to retract the integrated earbuds. Enjoy your music experience without all the devices and wires hanging all over you.

I must say that I'm impressed with Affinity Photo for retouching. It is clear the developers have really thought about what it is needed for efficient retouching post-processing workflow. The tools are "just right". While it took me a while to learn this new tool (or should I say unlearn 25+ years of Photoshop) I will likely use it as my go-to retouching tool going forward. The next version will add batch processing and macros and that might just seal the deal for me.
