Enamel pin badge. Tried this from all angles, but it’s a challenge to get it to catch the light!

The Moody Brook track leads from the foot of Two Sisters into Port Stanley on East Falkland in the Falkland Islands. It was made famous by the media who caught on camera the Royal Marines marching toward Stanley during the Falklands War. The marine bringing up the rear had a large Union Jack flying from his burgan.

Many different flags flying at the Dorset Steam Fair.

On my morning photowalk in a rainy Turin I spotted this person in a Union Jack raincoat. Colors and lines, might be something here.

With a stroke of luck a water post, the raincoat and the traffic sign aligned just right.

Hope you enjoy!

I love catching this amazing man in the city. What a colorful personality. He moves so fast that it's challenging for me to get a good photo of him. He is so well recognize that he became NYC landmark, yet I don't even know his name.

It was the day of the Royal Wedding (Harry and Meghan's). I asked this homeless man begging in Bath about what he thought about it. This was his response.

A view of Kingston Lacy House in the low winter sunshine.

Pamphill, Dorset UK.

A National Trust Property.

Kingston Lacy is a country house and estate near Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England. It was for many years the family seat of the Bankes family who lived nearby at Corfe Castle until its destruction in the English Civil War after its incumbent owners, Sir John Bankes and Dame Mary, had remained loyal to Charles I.

The house was built between 1663 and 1665 by Ralph Bankes, son of Sir John Bankes, to a design by the architect Sir Roger Pratt. It is a rectangular building with two main storeys, attics and basement, modelled on Chevening in Kent. The gardens and parkland were laid down at the same time, including some of the specimen trees that remain today. Various additions and alterations were made to the house over the years and the estate remained in the ownership of the Bankes family from the 17th to the late 20th century.

The house was designated as a Grade I listed building in 1958 and the park and gardens are included in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens at Grade II. The house was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1982 after the death of Henry John Ralph Bankes, along with Corfe Castle. The house and gardens are open to the public.

Come on Englaaaaand!

Seems apt in the present political climate. This flag is at the memorial at the Thiepval war graves on the Somme battlefield.

The mascot for the 1966 competition was "World Cup Willie", a lion wearing a Union Jack jersey emblazoned with the words "WORLD CUP". This was the first World Cup mascot, and one of the first mascots to be associated with a major sporting competition. Willie was designed by freelance children's book illustrator Reg Hoye.
