Whenever I look for a nudibranch, I always think about the composition of the photo, when I am offered a negative space with the blue background, I try to make a double exposure.
In this case with one of the most colourful and abundant nudibranchs of our Mare Nostrum.

Gracing the underwater world surrounding Cayman Brac is a beautiful underwater monument created by Dale Evers named “Oceanic Voyagers”.
Using a wide angle lens under mild surface conditions, the mid-afternoon sun was perfectly placed to experiment with mixed silhouetting and strobe lighting. This dramatic photo, with the granulated fireball of the sun radiating from the right dolphin's head and with the subtly lit stingrays circling below is one of my favorites from the shoot.

"Ascidia bombilla" es uno de los tunicados más comunes que se encuentran en hábitats rocosos sublitorales poco profundos y generalmente en paredes verticales, de unos 4 cm de tamaño, sé asemejan a un grupo de campanas transparentes, pueden estar de manera independiente o muy próximos entre sí y unidos dando lugar a colonias arracimadas.

Light Bulb Tunicate is one of the most common tunicates found in shallow sublittoral rocky habitats and generally on vertical walls, about 4 cm in size, resembling a group of transparent bells, they can be independent or very close to each other and united giving rise to rooted colonies.

Slightly more rare in my experience these are quite small fish. I pursued this fish for 5 minutes then gave him a break. Lovely colors. I think of this as the Zispepo fish now!

I had a lot of fun with this soft coral fish. I was toward the back end of my only dive for that day, and noted a very small movemetn in the fronds of this flower pot coral. Through patience and persistence I was able to use my 105mm with my 2.0 teleconverter to get some nice close shots. This fish was in Brownian motion (ceaseless random motion) across the soft coral. I don't think you could use a super macro converter or a magnifier to get these shots since the subject is very dynamic...

Haddon’s Sea Anemone
This school of anemone fish was living on a Haddon’s Sea Anemone. Usually this arrangement with Haddon’s makes the fish lighter in color. A conical shell was right next to their anemone. The anemone fish attached all their eggs to it. If you zoom in on this photo (flic.kr/p/29F64B9) you can see algae growing on the eggs. The parents (breeding pair) were cleaning the eggs constantly with their mouths.

In order to participate in the Spanish Championship of underwater photography, you have to participate in the Regional Championships and qualify for the State Championship.
In the Spanish Underwater Photography Championships, both the State and Regional Championships, you have to present a collection of 6 photographs in 6 different categories, one of these categories is a Free Photography, in which the creativity of the photographer is valued.
This photo was the one I presented in the Free Category, in the last Regional Championship, which won second place and a silver medal.
I would like to know your opinion, thank you.
Pd: the collection as a whole presented us to the 3rd position in the Regional Championship, which qualifies us for the State Championship next year.

En el Campeonatos de España de fotografía subacuática, tanto el Estatal como los Regionales, tienes que presentar una colección de 6 fotografías de 6 categorías distintas, una de esas categorías es una Fotografía Libre, en la se valora la creatividad del fotógrafo.
Esta foto fue la que presente en Categoría Libre, en el último Campeonato Regional, que consiguió un segundo puesto y medalla de plata.

Seen around 60 feet as we transited the fisherman/shark hangout area of the reef. At first i thought this was a Greasy Reefcod, but its size was immense! When i looked at the photos it is clearly not the same grouper. It spent all its time in the rocks and retreating back deeper. I liked this shot best sincethe shadowing of the mouth and luminance on the eye make it looks menacing, but it was a very cautious fish in reality. The lines of the body folded on itself also lend a dynamic effect to the picture.

The "Balssia Gasti" (Gorgonian shrim) is a small shrimp of about 12-15 millimetres in length with a chromatic variation from red-orange, yellow to whitish. It lives in the corals of the Mediterranean and to be able to live on these organisms and go unnoticed, it adapts the colouring of its host with its different shades so as not to be threatened.
This photo belongs to my collection of the last Spanish Championship of Underwater Photography 2022, held in the incredible waters of the Marine Reserve Cabo de Palos- Islas Hormigas (Murcia).

La "Balssia Gasti" es una pequeña gamba de unos 12-15 milímetros de longitud con una variación cromática de roja-anaranjada, amarilla hasta más blanquecina. Vive en los corales del Mediterráneo y para poder vivir sobre estos organismos y pasar desapercibidos adapta la coloración de su anfitrión con sus diferentes tonalidades y así no verse amenazado.

Beaded Sea Anemones (Heteractis aurora) are a fairly common species in Okinwa. The two banded anemone fish (Amphiprion bicinctus) are also common. They are enticing to take photos of, but can yeild mixed results. This photo is somewhat satisfying with nice detail on both the fish and the anemone.
