We have nearly completed our journey and are almost back home. These thorny little plants were just minding their own business at the side of the road on the Plains of Camdeboo in the Karoo.
The archaelogical site at Italica, Spain is such a fascinating place to visit! This detail of a mosaic floor found in the excavation of an elite Roman villa is a marvel. It is part of a larger floor featuring many different birds that has lasted through the ages to delight us today.

Trodden Underfoot...
Fall is my favorite time of year, soon the leaves will be blowing along the sidewalks and roads of Ontario. Autumn is finally here and the leaves son the trees are starting to turn.
While hiking the trials yesterday I spotted al lone leaf red in colour that had been stepped on, along the trail and I stopped to notice how beautiful it was. you could see the foot prints in the sand y soil of the many who had waked by and not noticed the lone leaf. .
Thank you for visiting for marking my photo as a favourite and for the kind comments,
