Firozi (फिरोजी) = turquoise blue in Hindi/Urdu.

From my recent Typocentric: Bazaar workshop at the UnBox Festival in Delhi. Hosted with Abishek Ghate and Rajesh Dahiya of Co-Design. We had global participants construct typographic forms from objects commonly found in Indian markets – buttons, bindis, decorative mirrors, candles, textile embellishments, match-boxes, etc. Much fun on a crazy tight time-frame.

After some time, I got one.

Nothing to say about it, works very well.

Unboxing the Canon 5D Mark II

-contents removed from the plastic (I didn't include in this shot the other "filler" papers such as advertisements for Canon printers, etc.)

This is way more complex than it looks. Each letterform was constructed flat, joined with protruding match-sticks then swung into it's upright position as a complete character. Stellar team work from this ambitious group of local designers!

No, I'm not really concerned about the loss of the 3.5mm audio jack. I have used Apple's earbuds for a long time, so I have no trouble using the Lightning connector instead of 3.5mm. As for piping music to an external source, I essentially always do that with my iPad rather than my iPhone, or with my old 5G iPod.

It took me nearly 4 years to unbox this Mechagodzilla. I don’t know why but there are still lots of toys to be opened and that’s quite a long queue. Today just felt like to open this one up and look inside. As many people said the paint app is not the very best but it still looks decent and I love Mechagodzilla totally! By X-plus in 2011 and including the base it is slightly higher than 13 inches tall.
