The Prophet is calling out to the ummah from Medina;

He says; Take care of that spiritual embezzlement.

Do not silence the nightingales singing in the lectern,

Do not wither the roses that chant in the garden.

O Islamic scholars! Don't be fooled by masks;

Do not mistake the make-up of the West as civilization.

Do not think that the crusade's campaigns will end;

The soldiers of the infidels are always in ambush.

Ali ibn Abi Talib

(Arabic: علي بن أﺑﻲ طالب; Transliteration: ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib,

13th Rajab, 24 BH–21st Ramaḍān, 40 AH; approximately October 23, 598 or 600 or March 17, 599 – January 27, 661) was the cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and ruled over the Islamic Caliphate from 656 to 661, and was the first male convert to Islam.

Sunni Muslims consider Ali the fourth and final of the Rashidun (rightly guided Caliphs), while Shi'a Muslims regard Ali as the first Imam and consider him and his descendants the rightful successors to Muhammad, all of which are members of the Ahl al-Bayt, the household of Muhammad. This disagreement split the Ummah (Muslim community) into the Sunni and Shi'a branches.

Muslim sources, especially Shi'a ones, state that during Muhammad's time, Ali was the only person born in the Kaaba sanctuary in Mecca, the holiest place in Islam. His father was Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib and his mother was Fatima bint Asad, but he was raised in the household of Muhammad, who himself was raised by Abu Talib, Muhammad's uncle. When Muhammad reported receiving a divine revelation, Ali was the first male to accept his message, dedicating his life to the cause of Islam.

Ali migrated to Medina shortly after Muhammad did. Once there Muhammad told Ali that God had ordered Muhammad to give his daughter, Fatimah, to Ali in marriage. For the ten years that Muhammad led the community in Medina, Ali was extremely active in his service, leading parties of warriors on battles, and carrying messages and orders. Ali took part in the early caravan raids from Mecca and later in almost all the battles fought by the nascent Muslim community.

Ali was appointed Caliph by the Companions of Muhammad (the Sahaba) in Medina after the assassination of the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan. He encountered defiance and civil war during his reign. In 661, Ali was attacked one morning while worshipping in the mosque of Kufa, and died a few days later.

In Muslim culture, Ali is respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Muhammad, equal treatment of all Muslims and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies, and therefore is central to mystical traditions in Islam such as Sufism. Ali retains his stature as an authority on Qur'anic exegesis, Islamic jurisprudence and religious thought. Ali holds a high position in almost all Sufi orders which trace their lineage through him to Muhammad. Ali's influence has been important throughout Islamic history.

Sayings of Imam Ali (A.S.)

"Herkesin bakmadığı yönden bak dünyaya.."

"Look at the world from the different side that opposites of others looking."

Hz. Mevlana (k.s)

Happy new Hijri year to all of you and May Allah bless this great Ummah..

Muslims are one. Their geographical differences are for their identity. In Islam our borders are open to each other. We live on the land of Allah. We are one Umma with different languages and race. No matter who we are, we recognize Allah as our means of sustenance on earth as Arafa means recognition of this fact.

Arafat is the name of the desert and day of Arafa is the ninth day of the month of Zul-Hajja, the day that everyone meets at this desert only to see each other, to live together a day to recognize each other as Arafa means to know - to be acquainted with Allah in being with each other. It is the place of every Muslim in the simple clothing of two pieces of white material. We know each other with the name of "Hajj" or one who is intending, not by title or rank. It is the land of equality, no boundary but different nations. No restriction of moving from one part to another. All the nations are brothers and are together in this vast desert. In the end of the day of Arafa, we all move to the valley of Muzdalifa or Mash'ar (awareness). If in the vast desert of Arafat we were separated and each group and nationality were by themselves, the valley of Mash'ar brings everyone together because we are in Mash'ar (awareness) . The night of Mash'ar is to pick up war materials (stones) so you can attack at dawn. We stay behind the boundary of Mina and pick up small stones or pebbles for each battle with Satan. You will need 7 stones for at least seven attacks on each evil or a total of 49 stones.

Hajj gives us a lesson of unity and togetherness and confrontation against evils and those who are against the unity of mankind. We can be united if we come together in Arafat (recognition) and reject evils in Mina and follow the law of Allah in Mecca as the rejection of any Deity is required to achieve Allah's will.

The reality we see is that Muslims are one "Ummah" and one nation with different languages and cultures and from different races and boundaries. In this desert, Muslims are neighbors to each other and spend a full day together as the World of Islam is one. We are not divided and the line of Allah is extended to hold firm on it and be not divided. The "Dzikr" and the words prayer chanted by different groups of races makes you of them. They may not speak your language but it shows and express clearly that the Quran is our constitution and the tradition of our beloved Prophet is our way of life.

"The snow..

Will one day melt..

And will be gone..

And so will my story..

It will end..

But it will leave me..

A remembrance to be kept..

In a music-box of memories.."

Tiada lagi kata-kata penyejuk hati seperti biasa. Tiada lagi ayat-ayat cinta sebelum aku terbang jauh ke sini (ok, geli geliman..)

Ok cut the crap. "Mak na tanak sayang Nazme dah!" konon-konon merajuk, sebab dia tanak dengar cakap aku. Haha.. "Ok lah! Nazme pun tanak sayang Mak Na!" dia lari meninggalkan aku, pergi sambung main game.

Masa aku salam-salam semua kaum keluarga sebelum ke airport sambil menangis teresak-esak, aku panggil Nazme dan peluk dia sekuat hati. Tak sempat nak minta maaf dengan dia. Tapi dia tengah main game masa tu, tak kuasa kot nak layan aku. Haha..

Toledo (UK: /tɒˈleɪdoʊ/ tol-AY-doh; Spanish: [toˈleðo]) is a city and municipality of Spain, the capital of the province of Toledo and the de jure seat of the government and parliament of the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha.

Toledo is primarily located on the right (north) bank of the Tagus in central Iberia, nestled in a bend of the river.

Built on a previous Carpetanian settlement, Toledo developed into an important Roman city of Hispania, later becoming the capital (civitas regia) of the Visigothic Kingdom and seat of a powerful archdiocese. Often unsubmissive to Umayyad central rule during the Islamic period, Toledo (طليطلة) nonetheless acquired a status as a major cultural centre (promoting productive cultural exchanges between the Ummah and the Latin Christendom), which still retained after the collapse of the caliphate and the creation of the Taifa of Toledo in the early 11th century. Following the Christian conquest in 1085, Toledo continued to enjoy an important status within the Crown of Castile, open to the Muslim and Jewish influences. In the early modern period, the economy stayed afloat for a while after the loss of political power to Madrid thanks to the silk industry, but Toledo entered a true decline in the 1630s, in the context of overall economic recession.

In the 21st century, population growth in the municipality has largely concentrated in the Santa María de Benquerencia (aka Polígono) district, a modern residential area detached from the historic centre located upstream on the left (south) bank of the Tagus.

The city has a Gothic Cathedral, and a long history in the production of bladed weapons, which are now common souvenirs of the city. Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage.

As of January 2024, the municipality had a population of 86,526. The municipality has an area of 232.1 km2 (89.6 sq mi). S_6966

Our new lil Cuzn =D

Ytrabba F3zz Ummah oo Obooh =D

As you all know that the global Muslim Ummah has welcomed Ramadan last week. This whole experience is so profound and delightful for me. We broke eighth fast today. This photograph was taken before iftaar (breaking fast).

Peace.

O Allah,Forgive us,Forgive our sins we have done,please....

O Allah, guide us on the right path you love,we know we have done so much sins,

but you love to forgive ,so forgive us for that.

O Allah, O Karim,

Please have Mercy on me.

O Allah, O Karim,

Please forgive me

for the sins I committed in the past

and those I will commit in the future.

O Allah,

have Mercy on all the Muslimeen,

and guide them.

Guide me O Allah,

and guide my parents,

my siblings, my cousins,

my aunts and uncles,

my nephews and nieces and so forth.

O Allah,

I ask You

to strengthen my iman and those around me.

I ask You to soften my heart

and to soften the hearts of the Believers.

O Allah,

forgive me for my shortcomings,

for only You are Perfect.

O Allah,

Please Forgive me

if I ever got too wrapped in a matter

that I didn’t have the time to utter Your Name.

O Allah,

Please Forgive me for all the salat I missed

because of ignorance or laziness,

Please Forgive me for all the fasts I didn’t make up,

thinking it was “alright, since I fasted most of the days anyway.”

O Allah,

Please Forgive me

for the quarter I never dropped

into the metal cup for the homeless man begging on the street.

O Allah,

Please spark the love of Islam in my heart

and in the hearts of every single Muslim

until it gets implanted in their children

and their childern’s children and so on.

O Allah,

I ask that You help me for I am weak

and will only grow stronger by Your Strength,

so Allah Please Strengthen me

to fight Shaitan and his whispers.

And if I ever fell into his trap

and followed my desire,

then sincerely forgive me,

for that displays not only my weakness,

but Your Greatness as well.

O Allah, Please lighten the punishment in the grave

for those before us and those after us.

Please Allah, lighten the punishment

and please shed light into every Muslim’s grave.

O Allah, if I ever was too afraid

to stand up for Your Deen

because of what others would think,

then Forgive me, for I was a fool for doing so.

O Allah, Please Protect me and each Musilman,

and Protect especially the orphans and the widows.

O Allah, Please Strengthen the faith

of the destitute Muslims around the world,

so they have hope to live.

O Allah, if I ever forgot to do du’a

for even one suffering Muslim,

then Forgive me

for then it is as if I haven’t done du’a

for the entire ummah.

O Allah,

Please be the Light of my eyes, ears and heart.

O Allah,

Please be the Light on the sides of me

and the Light behind me

and the light in front of me.

O Allah, Please Forgive me

for all the foul words I spoke

either out of ignorance or

because I was trying to be “cool.”

O Allah, please forgive me

if I never stopped to think about You,

due to “other important things.”

O Allah, Please Forgive me

for not having enough time

or creating time for reading the Qur’an.

O Allah, Please Forgive me

for my disrespect towards my family,

elders, siblings and so on.

O Allah, Please Forgive me

for any backbiting I have been accused of,

whether I did it consciously or unconsciously.

O Allah, Rab al-Alamin,

Forgive me,

Forgive me for everything.

So for everyone,

every single Muslim,

dead or alive,

I do du’a that you forgive them

for all their sins.

Oh Allah, Please Help us all and guide us,

for You are Everything to us.

O Allah,

I cannot stress how much I ask

for Your Forgiveness and Your Guidance.

O Allah,

I fear You,

I fear You soooo much words cannot describe.

I fear the day when I will meet You,

and I WILL meet You.

When we are one on one,

and I have no one’s help or support.

No-one can take the blame for me

nor I for them.

The only thing I will have

is a little book given to me by You

that has my deeds.

O Allah,

Let me die as Muslim,

O Allah,

Please Forgive me for my thoughts,

for even though I get sinned only for my actions,

I cannot help but feel guilty for my thoughts

and I ask You to Forgive me for them

and to clear my mind of any impurities

until You become the Only thing on my mind.

I do du’a

You shed Your Mercy

on the Prophet Muhammad ,

his family and companions.

I do du’a

that you grant Muhammad

the Highest Station in Paradise.

Rabinna Aataina

Fiduniya Hasinathow

Wa Fil Akhirati Hasinathow,

Wakina Adhab innaar

Ameen.

Summa Ameen!

Friday Night Dancing With The Stars, Divided As People But One With The Universe Under The Eyes Of God - IMRAN™

Think about it. I mean really think about it, gentle reader, and decent human being, wherever in the world you read my words.

Friday night, more like Saturday morning 0230AM, as I step out to be under the open sheltering sky. An 'ordinary night' in 'extraordinary times' silently and darkly covering this part of the world. Yet little points of light loudly tell silent stories of our place in the cosmos.

I do not have the needed equipment nor the time or patience to fully get into astrophotography. But once in a while, I like to click a few random shots of the sky late at night.

Even being in an almost unknown town like Apollo Beach, nearly 30-45 minutes of driving from downtown Tampa, which itself is not the biggest or brightest city, it is easy to see how much man-made light-pollution fills the sky.

It makes it impossible to see the Milky Way, which is actually right in the direction my camera is pointed towards. It is pretty mind-boggling to see that many of these little blobs of light are not even massive stars, they are actual galaxies.

This is a few megabytes file that social media will show you, derived from a 22MB image I saved from a 150MB single photograph. But even at this file size, if you zoom in, you can begin to make out the spiral shapes of some of the spots in the sky.

Then to imagine how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things, yet how one with God, the Almighty Creator of all that is in the universe, and the multiverses beyond, we are... but only when we are big enough to appreciate and bow our head in gratitude at how tiny we really are even as an entire planet.

May God grant us the wisdom to protect ourselves, our families, our friends, our nations, and our planet, from stupid self-destructive positions, policies, politics, and preying power-players.

It is time to choose. Please choose intelligence and science, decency and humanity, versus the vile forces of bigotry, racism, fundamentalism, hypocrisy, along with rampant ignorance and pure stupidity some are flag-waving hat-wearing professors of.

Choose wisely, as if your, our, our species', and our planet's very existence depend on it. Because it truly does. Say a prayer, and Vote! May we all be able to dance under the stars as a united nation, ummah, country, species, and planet, again, soon. Amen.

…which means “The Dawn” in Arabic. The long-shutter shot was taken some 15 minutes before the time for Fajr prayers actually began.

All the five obligatory Salahs (prayer) of a day are named after their particular part of the day – Fajr means dawn, Duhr means noon, ‘Asr means afternoon, Magrib means the west, referring to position of the sun when it sets, and ‘Isha means night. There are multiple Arabic words for all the mentioned parts of a day. But the mentioned five names bear the best references to the precise times when the prayers are supposed to be established.

Looking back on the months gone by,

As a new year starts and an old one ends,

We contemplate what brought us joy,

And we think of our loved ones and our friends.

Recalling all the happy times,

Remembering how they enriched our lives

We reflect upon who really counts,

As the fresh and bright new year arrives.

And when I/we ponder those who do,

I/we immediately think of you.

Face Book

Today is the first day of fasting for Muslims all over the world! Ramadan Kareem!

[Canon 7D | Canon 35mm 1.4 | Natural Light ]

Highland Park is a city within the city limits of Detroit proper. In addition to being home to Henry Ford's first assembly plant (now defunct and abandoned), it is also home to a sizable, mostly African-American, Sunni Muslim community.

I was inducted into that community when my family converted to Sunni Islam when I was around 8-years-old.

Qasim was associated with the community in Highland Park. He is also the director of Mooz-Lem: The Movie - a locally-filmed movie that is still in development . It features Danny Glover, Nia Long and quite a few other impressively notable Hollywood cast members.

Its good to see a member of my old Ummah doing his thing. Neither of us could remember if we knew each other growing up. We do both know a young man named Kareem. I happened to bump into Kareem and Qasim a couple of weeks back and they were gracious enough to let me make a couple of frames of them (Kareem, you're next).

That said, I'm no longer a member of the Highland Park Islamic community. In fact, I've removed myself from the larger intellectual community of religious believers altogether.

I've always had a distrinct aversion to fanticiful thinking - no matter how reassuring and comforting. When I was in 1st grade, before my family converted to islam, a classmate opened a bag of chips, crushed them in his hand, turned toward me, started to wiggle his backside and sing an impromptu schoolyard nursery rhyme/taunt:

"I've got more! I've got more!..."

I remember calmly looking at him, shaking my head and saying,

"No you don't. They are just in smaller peices..."

He broke into tears and tried to fight me.

Sorry, kiddo. But the facts are facts.

Though I was devout through my high school years (at Highland Park High School, I'd stop in the middle of Mr. Wojinowski's Chem class to make the afternoon iteration of the 5 daily prayers required of Muslims), the religious explanations for how reality worked became exponentially less convincing with each passing year; and with each passing grade in biology, geology, and history.

The religious explanation simply did not accord with the facts. As much comfort, solace, and certitude my religious faith had provided me in trying circumstances, I found myself increasing unable to abide them.

Sorry, kiddo. But the facts are the facts.

By my second year of college I was more or less bereft of all superstitious belief.

I'm not sure what the tone of Qasim's finished movie will be. It's my understanding that the main character has a crisis of faith.

If nothing else, I hope that his movie will encourage people to take another look at their bag of potato chips.

"Go to sleep my little baby cousin. Go to sleep, butterfly. Go to sleep my little darling sleep all through the night. You're my little butterfly so spread your wings, and fly tonight. I'll come too, just take my hand. And we'll go to that special land. Where butterflies are free no a hurt like in the world. Where there's no pain and no crying. There's no drugs, jail or death everyone is flying. Where everything is right there is no wrong. Where everything is the only noise of a song. Just close your eyes and you'll be there. Just promise me, baby you'll come back here. So dream away, my little sweet cousin princess"

One of the cutest things observed in Makkah and Madinah would be the toddlers performing Tawaf on their parents’ arms and establishing Salat on their parents’ laps, the latter especially on the mums’ laps.

Particularly in Masjid al-Nabawi, where separate areas for men and women are strictly maintained, hearing babies crying during Salat from women’s side would be enough for you to realise how Allah sub’hana wa ta’ala has bestowed extraordinary levels of endurance and patience upon women, and how they are special in Islam. May Allah sub’hana wa ta’ala bless them.

If even one of us could have had the right to complain about what befell us, it was Prophet Mu'hammad (ﷺ), who was born an orphan, lost his mother while seven, struggled in abject poverty, endured countless traumatic attacks and murder attempts, lost his beloved and loyal wife at the time of dire need, and, the most unthinkable and unbearable of all for most of us – saw his children die – not one or two – six of them (that’s his every child except Fatimah Radwiyallahu 'anha!

If Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Messenger, who Allah Sub’hanu wa Ta’ala articulates as honoured and one of the most beloved and loyal servants, was set to fathom such a streak of extreme hardships and tragedies, what gives us the right to even think of considering ourselves undeserving of what befalls us? Who are we? How much have we seen?

May Allah sub’hana wa ta’ala "guide us to the straight path - the path of those upon whom He has bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked His anger or of those who are astray."

It was narrated from Al 'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib that: He heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "When a person prostrates, seven parts of his body prostrate: his face, his two palms, his two knees and his two feet." (Sa'hih, Sunan an-Nasa'i, 1094)

Like a roaring river circling around a stone, Kaaba is surrounded by a crowd of highly excited people. It is like a sun in the center while the people are like stars traveling in their orbit of the solar system. Centrally positioned, the people move around it in a circular pattern. Kaaba symbolizes the constancy and eternity of Allah. The moving circle represents the continuous activity and transition of His creatures.

CONSTANCY + MOVEMENT + DISCIPLINE

=

CIRCUMAMBULATING

This is an equation of the whole world. It is an example of a system based on the idea of monotheism which encompasses the orientation of a particle (man). Allah is the center of existence; He is the focus of this ephemeral world. In contrast, you are a moving particle changing your position from what you are to what you ought to be. Yet in all positions and during all times, maintain a constant distance with "Kaaba" or with Allah! The distance depends upon the path that you have chosen in this system.

You do not touch Kaaba nor do your stop there. Everyone encircles Kaaba collectively. The movement is as one unit, one group of people. There is no individual identification, that is, as being a man or woman, nor black or white! It is the transformation of one person into the totality of a "people". All of the "I's" join and become a "We", establishing the "Umma" with the aim of approaching Allah.

Allah's way is the way of the people. In other words, to approach Allah you must first approach people. How is this done? To achieve righteousness you should genuinely become involved in the problems of people, not as a monk who isolates himself in a monastery but by becoming actively involved in the "field". This includes practicing generosity, devotion, and self-denial, suffering in captivity and exile, enduring torture pains and facing various types of danger. This is how you are with the people and where you may approach Allah. The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: "Every religion has its monastic way of life. In Islam, it is JIHAD.

During Tawaf (circumambulating) you cannot enter the Kaaba nor stop anywhere around it. You must enter into and disappear from the crowd. You must be drawn into the roaring river of people who are circumambulating. This is how you will become a Hajj. This is the collective invitation to whoever wants to come to this house. What can be seen? Kaaba is steadfast in the center while the white, roaring river goes around it. Everyone is dressed in one color and pattern. There is no distinction nor personal promotion; true totality and universality is demonstrated........

......If you remain in the state of self-centeredness, you are not really a part of the Tawaf circle. You will be like a visitor standing at the bank of a river, but not in it. Those who are detached from themselves are alive and moving collectively. Those who are not separated from themselves are stagnant and dead. They are like wandering particles in the air of its systemic orbit. Furthermore, at Kaaba you are taught to prove yourself, to demonstrate your existence and to become eternal. You must reject self-centeredness.

By exercising generosity, kindness to others, and devotion to the community (ummah), you will attain self-discovery and envision the reality. When you give up your life in the way of Allah, in your warm blood you will approach Shahadat' and be called a Shaheed. Shahadat is being present, alive, palpable and visible. A Shaheed is an everlasting witness and visitor; he exemplifies an "eternal living".
