Nascondi le cose lontane,
tu nebbia impalpabile e scialba,
tu fumo che ancora rampolli,
su l'alba,
da' lampi notturni e da' crolli,
d'aeree frane!
Nascondi le cose lontane,
nascondimi quello ch'è morto!
Ch'io veda soltanto la siepe
dell'orto,
la mura ch'ha piene le crepe
di valerïane.
Nascondi le cose lontane:
le cose son ebbre di pianto!
Ch'io veda i due peschi, i due meli,
soltanto,

Early on the morning of November 14, 2012, the resort island of Green Island, Australia fell dark as moon's umbral shadow drifted across its spectacular scenery. Thousands of excited sky watchers and photographers from around the world gathered to experience this remarkable celestial event.
This unique image was created from 8 separate images shot as a 360-degree panorama and then wrapped around itself to produce the first-ever "little planet" view of a total solar eclipse. Above the eclipse shines the planet Venus; on the other side of the scene--behind the trees--appears the bright star Sirius.
On December 14, 2012, this photo was featured on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day (apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap121214.html)
No photograph, video or computer simulation can ever capture the true magic of such a celestial event, so join me for future eclipses (www.melitatrips.com).

Taken outside our flat looking over the brow of the hill to Alexandra Palace.
Enhanced with PhotoShop to lighten the foreground, especially reflections on the Jaguar.
This is the first idea I had for the Umbra poster. This comp is made up of images that I found on flickr. A photoshoot will probably be required to execute this one well. I like the type though.
