The Cerknica Lake normally stays on the Cerknica plain for about eight months a year. At its fullest, it covers a surface of about 26 km2 and becomes the largest lake in Slovenia. During the dry season however, the totality of the water disappears, which enables to walk on the bottom of the lake!

So, some of my pictures are back, but without the likes...strange.

This is the townsquare/marketplace in Schorndorf pretty close to where I live.

Maybach SW38C (1937 model) on display at the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally 2016 at Red Fort, New Delhi.

Maybach (Mai Bax) was a German car manufacturer. The company was founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach and his son, originally a subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH and was itself known as Luftfahrzeug-Motorenbau GmbH until 1912. In 1960 Maybach was acquired by Daimler-Benz and remains nowadays as a luxury car brand of Mercedes-Benz that is owned by Daimler AG. Daimler currently produces an ultra luxury edition of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class under the Maybach brand.

Taken at Cape Blomidon Provincial Park, which is located 20 minutes outside of Wolfville, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Janjheli, near the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful little village. The beauty is virgin as its still not flooded by tourists. This shot of this half complete hut on top of high ground was captured on one of my treks. The beautiful blue sky and the greenery around with this solitary half built hut gives it an intriguing feel. The rocks are gray, darker gray, brown and yellow, different from most of the places in Himalayas.

Macro Monday substitute photo. The MM theme was "Pink", and I don't have many pink things (in general) that also happen to be photogenic in a macro setting, so I thought I'd at least upload a photo today that has a pink element in it. In this case, it's the wrought-iron bridge banister and ornament that used to be a part of the old Marschallbrücke (located in Berlin-Mitte), and that are now (design) elements of the "Anhalter Steg" which connects the Hallesches Ufer (and also the Tempodrom and the Anhalter Bahnhof) with the German Museum of Technology (Deutsches Technikmuseum) in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The bridge reflection which you can see in the muddy waters of the Landwehr Canal is an elevated railway line that is used by the metro lines U1 and U3.

When I crossed the Anhalter Steg after a visit to the Technikmuseum, I thought that it might be interesting to photograph the bridge's ornament straight from above, with the railway bridge's reflection adding further interest, and when I leaned onto the banister and looked down I noticed that someone either very tall (and flexible) or brave enough to climb onto the ornament had written "token 911" onto it. A general statement? I assume that we will never know.

Have a nice week ahead, dear Flickr Friends!

This shot was taken at Victoria Park, which is located in the town of Truro, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The beautiful pillar rocks of Kodaikanal in the Palani mountains look breathtakingly scenic and mesmerizing. A deep blue clear sky covered in white cotton like clouds which are engulfing half the green mountains. A Hindu temple sits on the plain surface of this luxurious green vegetation on the mountain. The view was so lovely that I stood there just feeling the beauty and enjoying every bit of time I spent there.

Ein wunderschöner Steg im Olchinger See zur Blauen Stunde, kurz nach dem die Sonne untergegangen ist. Es gab dramatische Wolken und tolle Spiegelungen, wie auch schöne Farben.

A wonderful jetty at the lake Olchinger See at blue hour, after sunset. There have been dramatic clouds and great reflections as well as wonderful colors.
