A combination of all the figs I have been working on. Hopefully it does justice to such an amazing game. I tried to stay purist, but some characters required paint and other mods to perfect them. Mario is a custom printed figure by EclipseGrafx.
Well what a fabulous Spring day (At last), I managed a bit of macro work, but the most fun I had was with this guy. This is the closest shot of a Robin I've managed to date with my 100mm Macro lens, this is also a natural light shot. He was also chirping away when I took these, not full song, but funny little chirps. The image is slightly cropped top and bottom, but the width is full frame. You really need to zoom into this image to get a feel for it :o)
Hope everyone had an enjoyable day :o)

The Ultimate Fighters (of Ultimate Warbird Flights, based at Sywell) making a nice formation pass at the Victory Show. Restricted by the display line at the show, their display consisted of less aerobatics and more formation passes such as this, which were perfect for photography.
Hello yello! Look, I made something I think is cool! Matchstick (Fantxtik) in his Ultimate form! This was inspired by the prologue of Boondoggle's series thing. (www.flickr.com/photos/154786896@N05/42786769141/in/photol...)
So, this gets me thinking, what other members should make in their ultimate forms. The problem there, though (besides not being able to make most of the members normally) is that I don't know what the other heroes Ultimate forms would look like. So, thoughts on that?
Also, is there already a Flickr Fighters group or gallery? I mean, I can see why you wouldn't want to make one, but it could be nice to have all the information together for people like me that care too much about all that. xP
So yeah, I guess this is now a discussion post. Let's discuss.
(But, still put your thoughts on the picture I put a good amount of effort into it and I really like how it turned out.)
I had the chance to shoot this immaculate 911 SC G-model on the roof of the stunning new Porsche museum at Stuttgart Zuffenhausen this summer.
For me this is one of the eternal top 10 car designs!

My custom Ultimate Machine (also known as a useless machine) built using the new Mindstorms EV3. You really have to watch the video to see what it does, otherwise it's just a pretty black box with a switch on it.
Building instructions and the Mindstorms project file can be found on my website: www.truedimensions.com/instructions
The LuuMa EV3 is a bit more elaborate than the typical ultimate machine, featuring 6 different responses for turning the switch off and 2 evasive maneuvers for trying to prevent the switch from being turned on in the first place.
I had a blast building this one, and programming the different responses. Not to mention playing with it once it was complete. I can't wait to put it out at a show and watch people interact with it.
I've been pretty impressed with the EV3, although I have encountered the odd glitch or two with both the hardware and software. Hopefully these get ironed out in future updates.

Top Shelf Mexican Food & Cantina, Peoria, AZ
I have seen a definite change of preparation style in this as they used to apply a generous helping of 3 cheeses after cooking and now its all just melted on top. I think I prefer the previous version. I had to ask for peppers and guacamole so its not really "Ultimate" until you make it so. Also, don't come near closing time as appearance won't be that great however taste is fine. I do like this and keep coming back for it.

Ultimate Warrior
Ikarus, YSEK
A nostalgic collab between Ikarus and YSEK in New Brighton, with Ikarus' signature piece accompanying YSEK's depiction of 80/90s professional wrestler The Ultimate Warrior.
Date Created: 2020
Ikarus is undeniably a legend in Christchurch’s graffiti culture. His instantly recognisable pieces illustrate his dedication to the traditions and tenets of graffiti, his name serving as a vessel for both style and the expression of identity. His characters, in their gamut of emotions, also often serve as references and reactions to contemporary society, social interactions, technology and the everyday experience.
Look out, here comes the Spider-Racer! Along with his friends, Iron Fist and Nova, they make an unbeatable racing team! Spidey's racer has the same patriotic colors as his costume as well as a big spider logo on the front. Iron Fist's racer is partly shaped like Shou-Lao, the dragon he slayed to get his powers. And Nova's is in the same colors as his costume.

When I saw chubbybots Ultimate Killer Croc I knew I had to build it. When I checked Youtube and other sites I was surprised that no one had attempted to build it (btw congrats on 4,4 mln views on Youtube man!).
At first, I also wanted to build one with Killer Croc, but his figure costs a bit too much. However, I found an interesting replacement in the form of the Green Goblin from set 76016. I was also considering using a gold chain (you know, gangster style) and part x64pb01 (String with End Studs) in the form of a necklace with skulls, but I decided that these were too many accessories.
Oh, and part 77078 (Revolver) as fingers.
In addition to slightly changed colors, I added two pieces of 18674 (Tile, Round 2 x 2 with Open Stud) in light blueish gray in the arms to make them stronger.
Overall, the entire figure and the building technique behind it are very cool.

The Three Sisters is a rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, on the north escarpment of the Jamison Valley.
They are close to the town of Katoomba and are one of the Blue Mountains' best known sites, towering above the Jamison Valley.
Their names are Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m).
The commonly told legend of the Three Sisters is that three sisters, Meehni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo, lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. They fell in love with three men from the neighbouring Nepean tribe, but marriage was forbidden by tribal law.
The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters. A major tribal battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by an elder to protect them, but he was killed in the fighting and no one else could turn them back.
Better than Chex Mix
Have you ever had homemade Chex Mix? That used to be the only option before it became ubiquitous gas station fare. As always, homemade is best
This pattern mix makes me think of 1960s autumn vomit. That doesn’t make a great title, so I’m going with “Ultimate Fall Mix” instead. The pattern mix is vomit or ultimate depending on your taste.

So this is the moon at 5600mm. Or rather, a composite image made up of sub shots taken at 5600mm - at this focal length a single frame covers maybe a quarter of the disc. I took a great deal of shots, and stacked them in bunches of 4-8 to partly account for atmospheric distortion (and it helps to reduce noise). Then I had to manually create a mosaic, which is why there is some visible stitching. Although alignment is pretty straightforward, differences in noise (due to different-sized stacks) and position of the moon in the original frame meant the colour balance was slightly different in different sections. Nonetheless, this is the most detailed moon I've ever done. In the lower right, which turned out the sharpest, features smaller than 5km (and possibly as small as 2-3km) across are visible. More sub frames would likely yield greater sharpness.
Incidentally, this required Lightroom, Keith's Image Stacker, Gimp, and an online picture file type converter, in multiple cycles. A whole day's work!

Billed as “The Ultimate Fighters", this four-ship formation of classic WWII warbirds made a memorable entrance at Airbourne 2019. The team kept an impressively tight formation while flying as a four-ship, splitting into pairs midway through the display with the Spitfire and Buchon (in the guise of a Messerschmitt BF109) performing a tail chase and mock dogfight and the P-47 and P-51 flying more loops and rolls as a pair. Display aircraft are P-47D Thunderbolt 45-49192 'Nellie B' (G-THUN), Spitfire TR.IX ML407 (G-LFIX), TF-51D Mustang 44-14251 ‘Contrary Mary’ (G-TFSI), HA-1112-M1L Buchon (G-AWHH).
