This is a pretty similar shot to the one I uploaded of car number 16 a while ago, this time its of S/N CSX2286 though, wearing the number 9.
Raced by Rob Walton (son of Sam Walton, founder of Walmart), this car was quite badly damaged at Monterey in 2012 when it ran wide and hit the tyre wall. However it looks to have been bent back into shape and was sitting pretty in the garages at Goodwood last year.

It's about 2 months since I last picked up my camera and a combination of time, energy and motivation seem to be conspiring against me at the moment. With nothing new to process and upload, it's back to the archives and a shot from a beautifully peaceful morning up at Buttermere back in March
A selection of my images are now available to purchase at James Bell's site here
An edit of a previously uploaded coastline abstract taken in Margate, England.

Thursday morning is up there with the best few hours of photography I’ve had in a long time. It started at Rydal Water photographing the boathouse from a viewpoint I’d not been to before. The light wasn’t great, but the mist lingering on the mirror like water made up for it.
Quite a few images to follow, taken this same morning but in VERY different conditions…..
Sometimes, one would wish to emigrate. I know, it's wishful thinking. However, here in the UK, and given the situation we are in, Australia and New Zealand are desirable places indeed - and not just weather-wise. Our political imagination has been constipated, and there is little light at the end of the tunnel. OK, enough. We are going to stay. We will be cleaning up the mess we ourselves have got us into. It will take a couple of years. Fuji X-E3.

Thanks for all the faves and comments, even for just taking the time to view my photo's, much appreciated.
If I give faves, then most of the time they are not given in a "blink of an eye", I like to look at details to see how much they enriched a photo and how they draw my attention, to everyone "keep up the great/nice/good-looking/wonderful work of photography".

One of a group of Fallow Deer stags of varying ages which passed me in the forest one evening. This one paused to look my way.
Thak you all for your kind responses.

One of two images I took as I was travelling between Stirling and Skye. I couldn't stop myself pulling over and putting the 70-200 on to zoom in on both scenes.
For this one I liked the way the cloud was flowing and covering/uncovering parts of the scene. very atmospheric!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

At the end of March I was plane spotting at Hawarden Airport and it was a lovely day, hardly any wind, warm as well and I didn't feel like driving home to London after the sunset so I drove to Greater Manchester instead. Heard a lot about Media City, I had a rough idea there's some water around it so could look good with the reflections. I had no idea however what's there to shoot, never did any research or plan this trip. I really picked a good evening to visit. It was weekday so really quiet in the area too. Hoping to go back sometime again and explore more
