This is a photo I never posted from last year while houseboating on Lake Powell. Sorry I've been MIA for so long but have been really busy. I was in Gold Canyon AZ for 3 weeks with friends and ended up buying a place there for the winters.
The trouble is, I haven't been able to get there due to snowstorms here. I was snowed in for 3 days and the highway I'd have to take was closed for a few days. Hundreds of people were stranded in a blizzard and white out conditions. The military had to respond with helicopters to do search and rescue and dig people out.
Hopefully there will be a break in the weather and I can get my UHaul loaded up and hit the road this weekend. I'll be on the road for a few days and then busy unpacking.
I can't wait to get the hell out of this cold weather. It sucks!!!!
Happy Slider Thursday? =)
Thank you for visiting, and for your kind comments and faves.
They are greatly appreciated!
Located off Walton Pike, south of Minerva. I don't know what's involved to sell a tractor and truck to a scrap yard.
Our third home — no parades, no flyovers, no need to perform. Just quiet, curated elegance.
Soothing, isn’t it? Especially for the gauche.

but I think it's too much stuff. So what are you going to do? I said. & he shrugged & said he was going to trust that everything would work out. & he added, I'm moving back in with my parents. - story people
I will be in and out, we don't have an internet connection at my grandma's and we are PACKED. It is a hurricane here, not literally but figuratively. :) It is so windy and pouring rain, the truck is full, but we are worried about pulling it into the yard at our new home and getting stuck. UGH...
So, I'm going to be MIA for a bit, maybe. :)
I'll miss you all, I'll be back.

One would think I'd look more excited about helping Twon move. :)
I have so many lesbian/uhaul jokes running through my head right now... but they'll have to wait. For now, it's out the door and onto the next adventure.

Every now and then we need to spill something out and just let it go...

* I found this antique chemist bottle in my favorite thrift shop yesterday. It was buried once and has the most beautiful mineral oxidation on it's brown glass surface!
Smile! Spring is here...
Time to put whatever no longer makes you happy in the past. Spotting spontaneous color coordination always makes me happy! Especially when it come with a smile. ☺

On I-75 heading home and came upon this UHaul with cleverly painted rear cargo door. I certainly thought the back was open until came side by side. Nice optical illusion advertising.

This weekend was another big adventure for my wife and I. We headed down to her home in Alabama, rented a U-Haul and pulled the remaining "big" items up here to Tennessee.
It was really bittersweet- sad but also joyous, and we even found a moment to share a quiet Hawaiian BBQ dinner after a long day.
Those simple but special moments are always the ones I will treasure. We still have some steps to take in this journey together of blending our two roads of past to present, but it's always special when we do these things together.

At the time I took this picture I didn't know the house was being sold.. I just thought one of the people that lived there was moving out.. As of Today, the house is empty and being sold.. I posted a shot of it after they had repainted and did a lot of repair work on it.. Kinda got the cart before the horse on this series.. Happy Truck Thursday, Everybody!!!
