The House-Monument of the Bulgarian Communist Party (or informally, the Buzludzha Monument) was built on the peak by the Bulgarian communist regime. It commemorated the events of 1891, when a group of socialists led by Dimitar Blagoev assembled secretly in the area to form an organised socialist movement that led to the founding of the Bulgarian Social Democratic Party

This Futuro House was manufactured in 1976, and moved to a hillside lot on Wright Street in Covington's Botany Hills neighborhood in 1987. Though the structure is surrounded by a deck and tall fencing, the uniqueness of the structure still stands out as something distinct from anything else in Greater Cincinnati.

On the way home from Mineola, Texas, there was a major accident on 69, which at that point is only one lane coming and one lane going… and no one was coming or going. After about 20 minutes and ready for adventure, we decided to turn around and head back to Point and find another route.
On our new route, we found this 60s futuristic architectural design gem by Matti Suuronen in Royse City, Texas. This Futuro or UFO House was just waiting for me. I just had to stop. Unfortunately, this Futuro had been vandalized at some point and all of the windows are missing. I'm now trying to talk my wife into letting me take it home to give it the love it needs.
