Das Kanzleramt selbst steht auf dem diesseitigen Ufer und ist ein Stück weiter flussaufwärts (nach rechts) über eine Brücke mit dem noch dort befindlichen Kanzleramtspark verbunden. An dessen Stelle wird jetzt der Erweiterungsbau errichtet, der ungefähr genauso groß werden soll wie das bestehende Gebäude.
The Chancellery itself stands on this side of the river and is connected a little further upstream (to the right) via a bridge to the Chancellery Park, which is still there. The extension is now being built in its place, which will be roughly the same size as the existing building.

Hierapolis (griechisch Ἱεράπολις „Heilige Stadt“, gelegentlich auch Hieropolis) war eine antike griechische Stadt in der Landschaft Phrygien in Kleinasien (heute Türkei, am Berg oberhalb von Pamukkale), gelegen am Rand des Lykos-Tals an der Straße im Hermos-Tal von Sardeis nach Apameia in Phrygien.
Mehr als 1200 Gräber liegen vor dem Nordtor von Hierapolis und gehören zu der größten antiken Totenstadt in Kleinasien. Hausförmige Sarkophage sind dort zu finden, tempelförmige Totenhäuser und Tumulusgräber, in deren Innerem sich oft eine Grabkammer mit Bänken befindet. House-shaped tombs are to be found there, temple-like houses and dead tumulus tombs , inside which there is often a grave chamber with benches.
