I feel very fortunate to have as many pictures of trains moving on the west end of the Minnesota Prairie Line as I do. This is thanks to living nearby and having friendly neighbors who alert me when a train is moving. This is the more common experience, though: finding a train sitting somewhere along the line waiting for whenever it is the crew is going to show up again. It could be a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days. In this case, the train is tied down on a beautiful Saturday morning just west of North Redwood, MN. It won't move for at least another 24 hours.

I was going to post a bird picture but as I was working on a book, I found this one. I love the light in this little French church.
I now have a dedicated photography website - all my photographs are available to buy in limited editions, signed and professionally printed. Take a look and please get in touch if you're interested.
There's fence here honest! Don't be distracted by the butterfly and the beautiful flower. Happy Fence Friday everyone.
Approaching the finish line, photo by my hubs. I spent three years post cancer trying to qualify for Boston for my second go at the race. And then the pandemic delayed it for a year. And I finally got to run my post-cancer victory lap. I'm grateful.
If you are a fan of my work, I would really appreciate it if you would "like" my page on facebook at: Josh Sommers Art. Thank you!
