Cap of Dunloe, Ireland

The Gap of Dunloe was created naturally sometime 25,000 years ago during the last ice age of Ireland.

A glacier situated in the Black Valley, which was estimated to be over 500 metres deep and part of the Templenoe Icecap, broke off into the Head of the Gap, slowly pushing northward which eventually resulted in a carved out U-shaped valley.

The stunning glacial lakes, which are all connected by the river Loe, were also created when this huge glacier broke off.

I will be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

With my luck, probably when I reach Berkeley CA

“Life is filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to seek those answers that continues to give meaning to life. You can spend your life wallowing in despair, wondering why you were the one who was led towards the road strewn with pain, or you can be grateful that you are strong enough to survive it.”

- J. D. Stroube

BRIGHTER

And into this life we're born

Baby, sometimes we don't know why

And it goes by so, oh so fast

It's like the twinkling of an eye

Let's enjoy it while we can

Little darlin' come along

Take my hand into that sunny land

On the bright side of the road

I had a title for this... but thought the photo spoke better for itself, so I left it untitled.

This is the last picture (for now) from my brief foray in 'street photography' - thanks everyone for your comments and feedback - I really appreciate it!!

A first-ever collaboration, brewed with Jeppe from Evil Twin. Two Evil twist on gose with ingredients sourced from Iceland including Icelandic moss, rye, herbs, sea kelp, skyr and birch smoked sea salt.

The result of this adventure is Two Evil Geyser Gose: A classic sour/tart beer with a hint of smoke, light lemon color, dry finish and thirst quenching appeal.

For the 100 things photo challenge. Today's theme is Two Roads

In a round world, geodesics are the real straight lines...

If you slide with the curve, even parallels get to intersect... even if it takes a while.

So, how Diagonal is a Curve?

*******************************

En un mundo redondo, las geodesicas son las verdaderas lineas rectas...

Si te deslizas con la curva, hasta las paralelas se intersectan... aunque se tarden un rato.

Entonces, que tan diagonal es una curva?

We’re here visiting Tuesday/Thursday things.

Out shopping while my boy swims. Tempted by a pack of beer but being a good boy and just taking a snap for the theme :-)

We’re here are visiting things that are simply indispensable.

While I do like to stay fit & healthy, a nice cold beer is simply indispensable for me. Was a long day at work followed by swim taxi duty for my kids. This was waiting in the fridge at the end of it all.

I know the group will have items far more imperative to everyday life, but right now tonight, this beer is imperative to me :-)
