Roman herm (or herma) in marble. Yes, they were supposed to have two faces, looking in opposite directions. The herm, from the beginning a Greek invention, was a protective symbol and marker of boundaries and suchlike.

Pretty strait forward. His face was carved into with an exacto knife. Torso was all white with a black arm and such etc.
This is one of those Photoshop projects that sort of just evolved into the final product. The previous version did have some text that described what it means to me, but I decided to remove this and leave it open to the viewers interpretation. What do you think?
