A closer look of the little flowers of Clematis apiifolia. The delicate white filaments together with the cross-shaped white sepals (appearing as petals) make themselves look like twinkling starlets.
Clematis apiifolia (‘Botan-zuru’ in Japanese) is a wild species of clematis native to Japan and eastern Asia. Taken by the roadside slope.
One afternoon, the setting sun had the icicles twinkling...almost dancing with long, shimmering gleams and colorful glitter. Sights like this make me appreciate the cold winter days and the frozen beauty around me. With temperatures finally rising in CT, I know my icicles won't be here much longer!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone! Don't forget to zoom in! :-)
Nature is amazing to me. Those lines of grey you see vertical are trees trunks along with light bokeh twinkling through the trees
No words will ever describe the emotions one goes through when standing in a dark spot late night and seeing the skies open their cloud clover and starting the dance of those green plumes and veils while the stars look down unabashed and just keep "twinkling". You stop feeling cold, you forget where you stand and all that matters is that celestial serenata playing for you and everyone else nearby :)
Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday!

Every moment I spent with you
Was like a beautiful dream come true
It was the best dream I ever saw
More colorful than a rainbow
Your pretty voice is echoing in my ear
The splendid sound I ever hear
No Nightingale’s song
Can compare to your glamorous tone
Those alighting brown eyes
As bright as twinkling stars in the sky
I always wanted to hold your hand
Between my arms close to my heart
My wish was to hug you hard
And listen to the beat of your heart
The Deeds Carillon tower decked out for the holidays with the moon twinkling in the sky. This was my first visit to this amazing park and I was particularly impressed by the immersive exhibits at the Wright museum. It won't be my last!

you and me
we are not made for sunny days
you and me
like fireflies,
turning happy circles in the night skies
hidden from jealous eyes
you and me
twinkling in the darkness,
dancing for the romance
you and me
feeling passion and emotion
in slow motion
you and me
with no regret
enlightening love’s secret
you and me
luminaries at night shades
we are not made for sunny days

A lightning strike on July 1, 2015 smoldered for nine days before coming to life as the Excelsior Wildfire on July 9.. The wildfire was located in the Maligne Valley, along Medicine Lake . The size of the fire was 966 hectares (almost 10 Km.
"""""Ho, ho ho", shouts the jolly Santa and he waves kindly to his fellow origami Santas, who travel by sleigh.
He himself, as you see, is on foot. He's put on his magic boots, which allow him to walk on clouds and also make reaching the daily steps goal a little easier.
Boots are made for walking, right???"""
This is an 'old' and complex origami-model (1970) and I think inspired how the real Santa was presented that time. Some people think Coca-Cola invented this figure, but I found this Info:
~~Coca-Cola did not create the legend of Santa Claus. But Coca-Cola advertising did play a big role in shaping the jolly character we know today.
Before 1931, there were many different depictions of Santa Claus around the world, including a tall gaunt man and an elf —there was even a scary Claus.
But in 1931, Coca-Cola commissioned illustrator Haddon Sundblom to paint Santa for Christmas advertisements. Those paintings established Santa as a warm, happy character with human features, including rosy cheeks, a white beard, twinkling eyes and laughter lines.
Sundblom drew inspiration from an 1822 poem by Clement Clark Moore called “A Visit from St. Nicholas” —commonly known as “Twas the Night Before Christmas".~~

Those Eyes
Those eyes
look at me from afar
Sparkling,
like two twinkling stars.
The naughty glint
in those eyes,
Soothing the mind,
like melting snow.

Smile on Saturday: Multicolour Bubble Bokeh
These were actual bubbles with twinkling lights, and the lights of the Christmas market in the background.
"Strung out below a necklace of carnival lights
Cold moan, held on the crest of the night
I'm too tired to fight.
So now we're passing strangers, at single tables
Still trying to get over
Still trying to write love songs for passing strangers
All those passing strangers
And the twinkling lies, all those twinkling lies
Sparkle with the wet ink on the paper"

After a long day of travel, discovering this beautifully designed lounge at Stadshotellet in Västerås felt like the perfect retreat. The rich colors, detailed rug, and ambient lighting create a cozy, modern Swedish atmosphere, pure relaxation after the journey home. It’s the kind of spot I never want to leave. The soft glow and twinkling Christmas tree make everything feel extra warm. Time to unwind.
The sun from the western horizon
Like a magician extended his golden wand o'er the landscape;
Twinkling vapors arose; and sky and water and forest
Seemed all on fire at the touch, and melted and mingled together.

La Vie en Pose till April 30. Later in Mainstore.
We spent the day in San Francisco and just after sunset, headed to a state park I had picked out earlier to van camp for the night. By the time we'd driven bumper to bumper over the 4.5 mile (7 km) long Oakland Bridge, it was dark and foggy. I navigated us through Oakland to Walnut Grove successfully, quite proud of myself. But on the road to the park, my heart sank. We were in a subdivision with house after house after house emerging from the fog. This couldn't possibly be right, and I could feel Don questioning my directions, even though he hadn't said a word...
Out of the gloomy haze, a sign appeared, Mount Diablo State Park - and a little toll house - and a firmly locked gate. Even the dogs let out a discouraged sigh. A knock on Don's window, a ranger asking if we were there to camp. An obliging man who unlocked the gate and waved us in. Up the road on the left, he directed.
Up, indeed. Up, up and up to a campground on the mountain. An empty campground overlooking the twinkling lights of Oakland, the Bridge and San Francisco - all to ourselves. The next morning, Don rolled out quietly while I slept, jolting me when the van came to a sudden stop. He slid open the side door, revealing the eastern view at very top of Diablo. All this fell into my waking eyes.
Sometimes you just get lucky.
""Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Corinthians 15: 51,52

Another macro shot from yesterday morning, of some dew-laden grass seeds being lit through the morning mist by the sun.
The sweet caress of soft fur, along with the sound of a peaceful purr. I dream of reaching the unknown, perhaps finding a place I belong. Thousands of steps, fluffy clouds and twinkling stars. The bright glow of the welcoming moon. Lighting signals through the darkness of my heart. Illuminating the shattered hope in a graceful song. Sometimes all it takes is looking into those eyes full of unexplained love. The unconditional, pure and magical type of comfort our furry friends provide us. The best medicine for broken souls...
And when they leave you, their presence is somehow lingering around your heart, in your veins and in the back of your memories. No matter how much you miss them, just know that they are always with you. (A little reminder I keep telling myself too...) Because loving them brings anguish when they are gone and yet, the love they let us feel is worth a lot more than that...
P.S. Ameya TPed me to hang out and her heart (and sim) inspired this simple yet thoughtful photo with a kitty of course... Visit her beautiful sim, there is a lot of peaceful and calming locations. I am sorry not much of the sim is seen but the essence is what I wanted to portray of how I feel sitting there.

Since hitting the road from western shore
more than a decade has passed me bye.
A journeyed traveler on a life long tour
to reach east coast dawn, soul will soar
unto the heavens with a twinkling eye.
This vagabond life can I transcend?
To give up sleeping beneath the stars
Life on life’s terms does not pretend
This journey fades as I near the end
The long sleep under Venus and Mars

Can you see the millions of lights,
close your eyes and listen to their beautiful gently clinking chimes,
inspiring and weightless at the same time...
walk this path ... your imagination will be without limits...
you will have these twinkling lights in you...
We find ourselves, in the world of our own
As we stroll along together
Holding hands, walking all alone
So in love are we two
That we don't know what to do
So in love (doo, so in love)
In a world of our own (doo, so in love)
As we stroll by the sea together
Under stars twinkling high above
So in love are we two
No one else but me and you
So in love (doo, so in love)
So much in love (doo, so in love)
So in love (doo, so in love)
So much in love (doo, so in love)
We stroll along together
I tell you, I need you oh so much
I love, love you my darling
Can you tell it in my touch?
When we walk down the aisle together
We will vow to be together 'til we die
So much love have we two
Just can't wait to say "I do"
So in love (doo, so in love)
Are you and I (doo, you and I)
So in love (doo, so in love)
Are you and I (doo, you and I)
So in love (doo, so in love)
Are you and I (doo, you and I)

“In the external scheme of things, shining moments are as brief as the twinkling of an eye, yet such twinklings are what eternity is made of — moments when we human beings can say “I love you,” “I’m proud of you,” “I forgive you,” “I’m grateful for you.” That’s what eternity is made of: invisible imperishable good stuff.” ~Fred Rogers
The town of Reine in the background, shot taken near Hamnoya in the Lofted Islands. This area voted as one of the top ten locations in the world for photography, which puts it on the wish list places to visit by landscape togs.
Image info:- Nikon D750 with Nikon 14-24mmf/2.8 @ f/7.1, ISO 500, 2 seconds exposure, 24mm focal length. Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Viewed from across the River Orwell, on the Shotley Peninsula.
This panorama is stitched from 3 individual frames.
Weary eyes scanning down the road ahead. Rolling hills, twists and turns, no time for sleep but dreams are racing through my mind. The blanket of darkness slowly rolls away from the horizon, revealing the day ahead. The skies were clear only an hour ago, stars twinkling in the night but now as the blackness recedes, a veil of morning fog begins to roll through the valleys I traverse. So many souls call out to be seen along the drive, but I must choose carefully this morn as I have limited mobility and most of these backroads have limited spots to pull over. Still mending from a broken foot, I need to find an easy to get to location with minimal walking involved.
A turn onto a familiar route and then a name on a sign catches my eye. Diana’s Pool, a place I have not been to in quite some time and had intended to visit during the peak of Fall before the injury. Kismet or a subconscious urge, in either case the call has been heard and answered. The trail is slick with fallen leaves, rocky and uneven so I will stick to the shorter one leading to just under the bridge. Now I must wait and contemplate. Watching the mist dance above the waters as the fog continues to roll through the trees. The Sun trying its best to burn away the shroud of white engulfing the Natchaug River. Fighting the urge to follow the mystery of the morning further upstream. Time to move on, just as Autumn has done here.
I made this image as a dedication to the family from my home town that were impacted by the Volcano at White Island. My suburb is not a large one and there are always connections with many people affected.
This is the Church of The Good Sheppard at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. It is iconic for the images taken of it under the “dark sky” the area is famous for. On a clear night you can see billions of tiny stars twinkling and the wonders of a never –ending universe. One that is sometimes hard to understand.
I feel a long way from home at the moment.
The super harvest moon is rising fast to catch up with all the twinkling stars. Taken within half hour of the perfect phase of the full moon.
Happy Mid Autumn's Day
