www.1001pallets.com/2016/10/pallet-tv-double-cabinet-cons...
I made this Pallet TV Double-Cabinet Console for a neighbor by creating two small tables to start. Then, I brought them together to create one large console. I used pallet wood for the front and sides. Also, I used 1x12x48 for shelves and top and plywood for the back. As a first project, I learned from my mistakes and am now making a matched coffee table with two end tables. I found that an inexpensive corner brace is indispensable. I'm looking forward to becoming a good neighbor in this online community!
Pallet TV Double-Cabinet Console:
I used pallet stringers as the bottom frame and feet for the cabinet and framed the sides out with 1x2" boards. Next, I covered the sides with pallet wood after sanding the deck boards very smooth. I used plywood to enclose the back, and 1x12x48" boards to create the shelves and top. Then, I framed out the two doors and attached deck boards to the inside. I added some decorative trim to the door fronts and along the sides of the cabinet, and then some decorative door pulls.
I have not done any finishes on it yet. I'll have to find out what the neighbor wants, or let him figure it out. :)
