The well known big 4 sculpture (2007) outside the atrium of the Channel 4 TV Building, 124-126 Horseferry Road, Westminster, London. Richard Rogers, 1994. For those that can't get or don't watch Channel 4, you have to line up the sculpture framework to see the logo.

PS the C4 building became Grade II listed in March 2023.

Thank you for your kind comments and visits they are much appreciated.

I cannot always ‘Thank’ everyone individually, however, I will still try to respond and thank all those that leave a ‘Comment’.

One year ago I was on holiday in Nippon. These are some photo's of exactly one year ago.

After teamLab Planets I headed to Odaiba on the scenic Yurikamome line. I also had tickets to TeamLab Borderless which is not, like teamLab Planets, on appointment but the ticket is valid for the entire day. I arrived in the afternoon and it was way crowded at the entrance. Didn't feel like waiting in line so I went in the big ferris wheel next to it and then roamed around: DECKS, Aqua City, DiverCity, VenusFort, Palette Town, Fuji TV building and this place...

Megaweb Toyota City Showcase which is a huge Toyota showroom/ museum with free entrance. I've seen this place in 2001 and at that time they had a Pioneer 3D car navigation (with 3D buildings) on display. It was way ahead of its time, a decade before we got Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay. Not only Toyota's on display but also other Japanese classics like this 1971 Mazda Cosmo.

Tokyo Bay, Odaiba Beach, Odaiba Marine Park, Rainbow Bridge and you can see the peak of Tokyo Tower shot from the dome of Fuji TV building. Smoggy.

Rainbow Bridge is from 1993, is 800m long and built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. It connects Shibaura to Odaiba. In 2001 I ran across the Rainbow Bridge while it was closed. Story here: www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Japan/Kanto/Tokyo//photo37...

Next year, during the Tokyo Olympics, the marathon swimming event and the swim part of the triathlon will be held here.

"The frog in the well does not know the great sea." Japanese Proverb.

From the pleasant island of Odaiba we have some of the best views of the harbor and the Tokyo skyline. Of all of them, my favorite is the one that can be seen from the viewpoint of the Fuji Television Building. I had always imagined that I would take this photograph at blue hour with all the lights of the city on, but when I arrived at the building I could confirm what I had read in some blogs on the internet, the building always closes at 18.00, and the city lights started to be turned on at 18:30.

Even though I knew I would not get the lights, I decided to wait as long as possible, but punctuality is a characteristic feature of Japan and when the clock came on at the hour I was politely invited to leave. I can not understand how the schedule of this or other buildings does not lengthen according to the time of the year, not only from the photographer's point of view, any visitor will prefer to admire the sunset views and they could get a lot more income. Nevertheless, the purple and magenta tones of twilight have allowed me to get an image perhaps less shocking than I expected, but with a certain charm and a different touch to the image that is usually seen from here.

Actually called University Park Plaza, it's a low rise office building east of the University of Minnesota campus on University Avenue. But it looks like a stack of CRT TVs.
