Looks like a fantastic action shot with small rodents involved. Nope. Actually, this is the result of me making a U turn, stopping the car on the side of the road, and getting out of the car in the most stealthy manner I can muster. No luck....... ever. The hawk was perched on a large real estate sign, and as consistently happens, departed the scene immediately.

On 10 November 1985 the enormous volume of water broke the rock and earth embankment, and inundated much of this town call Epecuen. The villa disappeared. By 1986, the town was 4 meters underwater, arriving in 1993 to over 10 meters.- Currently the water, highly saline, fell significantly in recent years, exposing much of the town. Are still visible the layout of the streets, the houses and businesses. However abound dead trees, ruined buildings and rusting vehicles.

The same morning as my previous post which turned out to be quite productive for me - unusually - normally if I get one photo from an outing then I'm happy but several showed themselves to be decent from this morning (by my standards obviously!). This, when the grey blanket that had descended for several minutes was being burned off by the sun.
A Giant Swallowtail leaves a coneflower for a Fritillary to enjoy. I know this looks photoshopped, but I swear it's not... just well timed. Prairie Garden Trust in Missouri.
