Ein Gebäude gegenüber, vor Jahren sehr modern und progressiv - heute mit dem Charme vergangener Moderne, allerdings täuscht es, denn es wurde vor etwa 10 Jahren aufwändig in diesen Zustand restauriert...
So richtete ich meinen Blick nicht allein auf das Objekt der Begierde, denn das Treppenhaus der TU Berlin sprach mich an - besonders weil es diesen sich stets wiederholenden Fußboden hatte... ;-)

On Saturday the 15.06.2019 the "Long Night of Sciences" was in Berlin again and this time I went to the Technical University at the Straße des 17. Juni. Of course not only because of the staircases, but also because of the many interesting experiments.

The TUBerlin auditorium 104 is the third largest auditorium of the Technical University and has a small special feature. This is a wave field synthesis system (WFS).An 86 meter long band - consisting of 2700 loudspeakers - surrounds the auditorium of the lecture hall H104 in the main building of the TU with its 648 seats at ear level.The loudspeakers are controlled via digital data lines by 832 independent signals, which in turn are generated by a cluster of 16 computers.

Der TUBerlin Hörsaal 104 ist der drittgrößte Saal der Technischen Universität und hat eine kleine Besonderheit. Diese ist eine Wellenfeld-Synthese-System (WFS). Ein 86 Meter langes Band – bestehend aus 2700 Lautsprechern – umläuft das Auditorium des Hörsaals H104 im TU-Hauptgebäude mit seinen heutigen 648 Sitzplätzen etwa auf Ohrhöhe der Zuhörer. Die Lautsprecher werden über digitale Datenleitungen durch 832 unabhängige Signale angesteuert, die ihrerseits durch ein Cluster von 16 Rechnern generiert werden.

The TUBerlin "Auditorium Maximum" Lecture Hall 105 is the largest hall of the Technical University and also has a small special feature. These are not only the 1192 seats in the lower and upper tier but also an interactive equipment. For example, a wheelchair-friendly, height-adjustable speaker/multimedia desk with touch panel control and a 12-metre-wide, motorised screen for two data and video projector projections.

Der TUBerlin „Auditorium Maximum“ Hörsaal 105 ist der größte Saal der Technischen Universität und hat ebenfalls eine kleine Besonderheit. Dies sind nicht nur die 1192 Sitzplätze im Unter- und Oberrang sondern auch eine interaktive Ausstattung. Wie zum Beispiel eine Rollstuhl gerechtes höhenverstellbares Redner/Multimediapult mit Touchpanel-Steuerung sowie eine 12 Meter breite, motorisch verfahrbare Leinwand für zwei Daten und Video Projektoren Projektionen.

This is the pink tube („Rosa Röhre“)at the landwehr canal (Landwehrkanal) here in Berlin. It is actually the biggest circulation tank for in world! The tank is part of the Ship Model Basin form the Technical University of Berlin. It’s located direct in the landwehr canal to make sure they have enough water to experiment with :-). As well the boat with all the cool lights in the front is a restaurant - very cool. I shot this this weekend during a brake from University a view minutes after sunset with my Canon EOS 40D.The post processing was done with Photoshop CC.

Its a lot of fun to go back to some older Pictures and use new processing software and skills - I shot this one last year in the fall. This is a 32 bit HDR shot produced with Photomatix - The 32 bit workflow will give you a very clean picture without any tone mapping or compression as it is done in Photomatix directly. The result provides a very good (and huge) baseline to work with in ACR and Photoshop - so this is the work flow here. Doing HDR at night is some kind of hard and you never know what you will get - think this one turnes out to be very nice. (Picture shot with my Canon 40D)

I re-processed this shot with some new software and skills. Getting started with ON1 Effects 10. I shot this one last year in fall.
