The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) has purchased 60 zero-emission e-buses (electric buses) from three bus builders: 25 Proterra Catalysts, 25 New Flyer Xcelsior Charges and 10 BYD K9Ms.
I came across a couple of Proterra Catalysts running the 505 Dundas West route today.
While the eBuses should be capable of 200 km or more on one charge, they will be deployed initially on routes that are 75 km or less. With time and confidence, they will be deployed on longer and longer routes.
