Red-rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus) female
Lovely to see a pair of Red-rumped Parrots during a very brief stop at Sneydes Rd. today. They kept moving away from me and eventually tried to hide. The male was successful but I could still see the female!

Trying to strip the bed and my 15 year old jumps on the bed and starts trying to play… so I play❤️ it’s not often he wants to play anymore.
Tried the man running button, but it just confused the poor camera and since I don't have a man jumping the waves button, I had to go manual on the shutter and hope auto-focus could keep up.
The waves were so small that the guys tried very few jumps but he saw me with the camera and made this one attempt. Bless him.
Try as you may, this grand piano only plays moody tones. You see the moon is tethered to it, quite securely. #Lana

Somewhere in the world it is tea time. However, this is the result of a still life effort using available window light with a reflector. This is actually very easy to do. The hard part is finding stuff in my house that will make a pretty picture display.
On our travels yesterday Steve and I came across a waterfall that dozens of salmon were attempting to jump to continue their journey upstream to the spawning grounds.
Sometimes there were as many as 8 salmon airborne at once, we were mesmerised by the spectacle and spent far too long watching or trying to photograph the futile attempts of the salmon.
The river level was high, and I think the volume of water was as much of a problem as the height they were trying to clear. Many of the fish were jumping at the rock face and there were plenty of mid-air collisions too.
