After praying, these words from God came to mind: “While undergoing trials, it’s normal for people to be weak, or have negativity within them, or to lack clarity on God’s will or their path for practice. But in any case, you must have faith in God’s work, and not deny God, like Job. Although Job was weak and cursed the day of his own birth, he did not deny that all things in human life were bestowed by Jehovah, and that Jehovah is also the One to take it all away. No matter how he was tested, he maintained this belief. … When Job reached this point, God appeared to him and spoke to him. That is, it is only from within your faith that you will be able to see God, and when you have faith God will perfect you. Without faith, He cannot do this. God will bestow upon you whatever you hope to gain. If you don’t have faith, you cannot be perfected and you will be unable to see God’s actions, much less see His omnipotence. When you have faith and you can touch His actions in your practical experience, God will appear to you, and He will enlighten and guide you from within. Without that faith, God will be unable to do that. If you have lost hope in God, how will you be able to experience His work? Therefore, only when you have faith and you do not harbor doubts toward God, only when you have true faith in Him no matter what He does will He enlighten and illuminate you in your experiences, and only then will you be able to see His actions. These things are all achieved through faith, and faith is only achieved through refinement—faith cannot develop in the absence of refinement” (“Those Who Are to Be Made Perfect Must Undergo Refinement”).

Can they truly trust God's oath? How can they satisfy God? This is the task for all man, the "homework" God left for all. It is God's hope that they will all work hard to complete it.

Through experiencing this persecution and tribulation, although I have undergone some sufferings, I have gained the treasure of life. I have not only seen clearly the CCP government’s devilish substance, but have even more seen God’s wonderful deed and the authority and power of God’s word, and felt the infinity and immensity of God’s life force.

God’s every word of judgment was like a two-edged sword striking at my Achilles’ heel, heaping condemnation upon me: Yes, many were the times that I had made solemn oaths before God, saying that I’d forsake everything and endure every hardship for the sake of the truth. Yet today, when God used fact to ask something of me, when He needed me to actually suffer and pay a price in order to satisfy Him, I hadn’t chosen the truth or the life, but had blindly been ridden with anxiety, distress and worry because of the interests and prospects of the flesh. I didn’t even have the slightest faith in God. In this, how could I satisfy God’s will? God wanted what I lived out to be fruitful. He did not want flowery, empty oaths. Yet before God I had knowledge but no reality, and toward God, I had neither loyalty nor true love, much less did I have any obedience; I lived out nothing but deceit, rebelliousness, and opposition. I hated my rebelliousness, I hated my lack of humanity, I wanted to once again stand up, to use real actions to make my promises to God a reality. Even if I rotted in jail, I would never again hurt God’s heart. I could never again betray the price of blood that God had paid in me. I stopped crying, and in my heart I silently prayed to God: O God, thank You for enlightening and guiding me, allowing me to understand Your will. I see that my stature is so small, and that I have not the slightest love or obedience toward You. O God, right now I wish to give myself completely to You. Testimonies | What Kind of People Are the Poor in Spirit (Matthew 5:3)

In one of my daily devotions, I read that the Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). I put down the Bible and began to contemplate this, “The Lord likes and blesses the poor in spirit, and theirs is the kingdom of heaven. But what kind of people are the poor in spirit? Are the poor in spirit those who appear on the outside to be humble, gentle, and loving to others?” I contemplated this for quite a while, but found no light, and I thought about it into the afternoon, when I just happened to have a meeting, where I could discuss and explore this question with my brothers and sisters.

At the meeting, I raised my question, and after listening to me, Brother Fang answered, “We can’t determine which kind of people are poor in spirit based on whether they appear on the outside to be humble, gentle, and loving to others. Instead, ……”

Looking at brothers and sisters in the church, everyone practices being honest people according to the word of God, speaks the truth and acts in a just and honorable manner. They accept God’s observation in all matters and do not engage in insincerity and deception. Brothers and sisters respect and understand each other and can forgive and care for others. They can also take other people into consideration and do not do things which harm others for their own gain. From brothers and sisters, I have seen that it is great to be an honest person. This kind of life is really liberating! In the past, I did whatever I could and engaged in deception to make money in the hospital and everything that I did was under-the-table deals! From now on, I will work in accordance with God’s demands and live out the likeness of an honest man, by the principle of helping cure patients and helping them spend less and no longer depend on Satan’s poisons to live and do those unconscionable things.

Throughout my experiences up until today, all along the way, I have come to a deep realization that someone like me—an ordinary country woman, who formerly had no insight or courage—can overcome in the midst of several bouts of being tortured to confess and cruelly tormented and damaged by the CCP police, can see clearly the reactionary essence of the CCP government that stubbornly opposes God and wildly harms God’s chosen people, can see clearly its disgusting performance that deceives the public to endorse its own reputation and that conceals its evil ways, and that this is entirely by the wondrous deeds and power of God.

Merry Christmas !!!
Christmas is the most joyful holiday during the whole year and it’s being globalized. I believe that Santa Claus who is riding his sleigh in the sky with his flying reindeers and carrying a bag full of gifts for children, and laughing in a way sounds like “Ho Ho Ho”— is the most impressive picture of Christmas people are familiar with for everybody in the world. Just as I was feeling totally hopeless about life, a parent of one of my students preached God’s gospel of the last days to me. I read God's words, “Humanity, having left behind the Almighty’s provision of life, does not know the purpose of existence, but fears death nonetheless. With nothing to depend on and no source of help, yet still reluctant to close their eyes, they brace themselves to drag out an ignoble existence in this world in bodies unanimated by sentient souls. … When you are weary and when you begin to feel something of the bleak desolation of this world, do not be lost, do not cry. Almighty God, the Watcher, will embrace your arrival at any time” (“The Sighing of the Almighty”).
I was wracked with sobs as I felt God soothing me like a mother. God knew how much I was suffering, how much pain I was in and how lonely I felt just then, and He was using His words of comfort to thaw my frozen, deathly still heart. I wasn’t alone or lonely after all, for the Creator was always watching over me, always with me, always waiting for me to come before Him. I was like a lost lamb that had gotten hurt and then finally found its way back home; I had found a support and I had found the courage to go on living. Although my marriage was in ruins and my family broken, I wasn’t alone, for God was my support, and with God beside me, my heart felt peaceful and at ease.

In 1991, by the grace of God, I began to follow Almighty God because of an illness. At that time I didn’t know anything about believing in God, but the amazing thing is that, when reading the words expressed by Almighty God, I enjoyed it. I felt that His words were so good, and when I sang or prayed I was frequently moved by the Holy Spirit to the point of weeping. That sweetness in my heart, that enjoyment was as if a joyous event had come upon me.

Since I was a child, I always attached a great deal of importance to how other people saw me and their assessment of me. Whenever things cropped up, I never offended anyone or argued with others so that others would have a positive impression of me. For that reason people praised me, saying I was a good person; I also believed myself to be a good person. The people around me therefore praised me as a good person, and I also believed that I was a good person. After I’d accepted God’s work in the last days, I continued in this way, carefully and scrupulously maintaining the good image that my brothers and sisters had of me. Some time ago, my leader said that my performance was like a “nice person,” and not the performance of someone who puts the truth into practice. I never took it to heart, instead feeling gratified that others saw me as a nice person.

God's words were like a timely rain, watering Zhen’ai’s parched heart. Gradually, her heart brightened, and she realized that although she could say that all things were under God’s sovereignty, whenever there was even a sign of trouble ahead, she would become mired in her difficulties and she had no true faith in God. Just then, Zhen’ai thought of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt. If they hadn’t had true faith in God, would they have seen water issuing from the rock or the parting of the red sea? If the widow of Zarephath hadn’t had faith in God and hadn’t believed in what the prophet Elijah said, making bread for him to eat with her small bit of flour and oil, would she have been able to witness God’s deeds and survive three years of famine? And then there was little David being able to defeat the giant Philistine Goliath, beyond what anyone could have imagined—was this not because of his true faith in Jehovah God? Thinking these thoughts, Zhen’ai’s heart calmed down, and she became willing to hand everything over into God’s hands, and experience God's work with an obedient heart.

Soon after, as the duty became more difficult, the four people in Jiandan’s group came across a new problem. While they were checking the articles, they would often come across some issues they didn’t thoroughly understand and sometimes they would get quite worried. When they discussed the issues together, if one person suggested a solution and the other two were all of the same opinion, they would not wait for the fourth person to have their say. Jiandan felt that if the majority held the same view then it should be right, and that by doing this they could be considered to be performing their duty in accordance with principles.
At that time, Song Yang hadn’t long been in the group and she was not yet familiar with this kind of professional work, and she was normally quite slow whenever she did anything.
Some time went by and Jiandan realized that Song Yang was still working very slowly; it took her longer than all three of the others to check one article and she was the last to express her views every time, therefore Jiandan felt that Song Yang had a poor caliber and that her work efficiency was too low. In particular, whenever Song Yang had a different opinion about the problems with their work, Jiandan didn’t listen to them as much as she had done in the beginning, and she didn’t pay any attention to whether or not what Song Yang said accorded with the principles of the truth. Sometimes, so as to save time, she simply didn’t give Song Yang any opportunity to voice her suggestions, and the other three members of the group had the final say.

Just when Zixuan was at her most pained and helpless, God’s salvation came upon her, and so her family that had been at breaking point was saved. Zixuan read these words of God: “One has no say in who one’s parents and relatives are, what kind of environment one grows up in; one’s relationships with the people, events, and things in one’s surroundings, and how they influence one’s development, are all beyond one’s control. Who decides these things, then? Who arranges them? Since people have no choice in the matter, since they cannot decide these things for themselves, and since they obviously do not take shape naturally, it goes without saying that the formation of all this rests in the hands of the Creator. Just as the Creator arranges the particular circumstances of every person’s birth, He also arranges the specific circumstances under which one grows up, needless to say. If a person’s birth brings changes to the people, events, and things around him or her, then that person’s growth and development will necessarily affect them as well. For example, some people are born into poor families, but grow up surrounded by wealth; others are born into affluent families but cause their families’ fortunes to decline, such that they grow up in poor environments. No one’s birth is governed by a fixed rule, and no one grows up under an inevitable, fixed set of circumstances. These are not things that a person can imagine or control; they are the products of one’s fate, and are determined by one’s fate.
