My dear friends,
I haven't uploaded in a very long time. I have lost my life companion, my beloved Joachim, and I have a difficult time dealing with his loss. From time to time, I visit your photos, but I don't have the strength to write comments. I hope you can understand.
My cat, the Lady Brüni, is of great help to me. I cannot imagine how I could handle my life without her after having lost my very best friend.

This is the view from the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach yesterday morning. These are the colors straight out of my camera. The sky was so intense and like nothing I'd ever seen before now.

I love the geology of this bit of coast just south of Aberystwyth (Aberystwyth Grit Group) and the hearty plants in the vicinity are a delight.

Callicore solane
Taken on a sandy beach on a humid morning. Known as the “80” or “08” butterfly due to the patterns on its wings that resemble these numbers, it can also evoke a mask with large eyes and a wide smile. The striking arrangement of lines and colors draws the eye, as a true work of art created by nature.

Beauty cames from struggles, from falling over and over and over again and getting up again and again. It cames from roadblocks, figuring a way around them and working though them. It cames from being more brave than your fears. From heartbreaks and hundred of tears. True beauty is always the battles you have conquered. Perseverence, patience, determination, grit. And, of course, the beauty of being a genuinely compassionate human surpasses everything. There is nothing more truly gorgeous than a kind soul, wich makes an entire aura radiate.

Every criticism and comment is very much appreciated.
Unlikely that I'll ever forget the intense blue of these tiny alpine forget me not flowers blooming at Independence Pass. The flowers are almost identical to their taller siblings, but the stems are no more than 4 inches long. A true blue delight.

Anemone blanda taken in my garden. These hardy little flowers put up with whatever the weather throws at them but they will only open in the sun.
