To get him to pose, all I had to say was "banana". He loves them. He can hear you snap one off of the bunch from the other side of the house. He will then sit, stare and drool until he gets a piece.
Searching for a leaky drum can be a hazardous occupation! There's absolutely no photoshopping here, I gave the fog machine another run. :)
Hello!
What originally was a custom for DaLastPrime's contest for anything zombie related, I thought to only post it to Instagram but i liked the custom so much that i put it on Flickr! it was my first figure to use alot of dry brushing and shading, I glossed the inside face with a citadel Waystone Green which i think gave off a nice slimy color, not alot of sculpting to the figure
just the helmet and the face inside.
If you have any questions right them below!
A small army of custom Mimban Imperial troopers with wet gear. The bodies and helmets are from different General Veers minifigures, and the legs are from the Space Police theme.
Of all the custom Cobra Troopers made in the 2000s, this Arctic one and the plain red logo desert trooper are my favourites.
Another side project in between commissions. The sculpting was finished a few weeks ago, but I finally got around to painting it.
I never liked LEGO's scout trooper helmet, the proportions and positioning of parts were all wrong. I was originally going to make this a decaled figure, but decided to sculpt it all the way. Knowing that walking around in Endor's mud is no clean task, I dirtied the boots and weathered the gun to make him look like he's seen a speeder chase or two.
The speeder is based off of BrickDoctor's speeder from ages ago, modified for my own interpretation. I figured if I was going to make a nice scene with this guy, it just wouldn't be complete without the speeder.
I'll post a video review after I post Rey's soon. So as always, expect more, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Title says all.
I have one question for you all;
What minifigure that I created,Do you think is best?
I hope you like him!
Another dip into the archives, this time from 44 years ago.....
Class 52 no. D1033 "Western Trooper" has just been released by the departure of a London Paddington bound train at Penzance station, and takes the opportunity to head out of the platform, presumably to Long Rock Depot a mile or so down the line.
The shot was taken on the dreaded Orwochrome 50asa film. It appealed to the pocket of this financially constrained student at the time being one of the cheapest transparency films on the market, but the results were probably the least satisfying of any emulsion I ever used and this was the last time I touched the stuff. In retrospect at least the slides have retained their colour balance and, with a bit of help from contemporary software, I was able to eke a passable result from it.
It wasn't the best of days as can be seen, and this shot was taken late evening before I returned to my B&B. Eagle-eyed viewers might be able to spot the old Shell emblem in the distance denoting the petrol station.

First figure of 2016!
This is the second figure in my series in which I am making a villain from each episode. The others in the series are:
Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Jango Fett
I wanted to make a First Order Stormtrooper since I saw the film opening week, and only got around to it now. It was originally planned to be a simple trooper, but upon my good friend Sander's suggestion, I made TR-8R, a character who has been very popular online lately.
The full story behind this traitor-hating trooper has been revealed on starwars.com - he is/was a member of Finn's squad and is FN-2199, AKA 'Nines', who is mentioned in the novel 'Before the Awakening' by Greg Rucka.
Anyways, to the figure now, all of the details on the body were sculpted with ProCreate/made from scratch with styrene, with exception of the helmet, which is a standard TLG helmet which had details added and the white repainted to match the armour. The traitor-killer (ie. the Z6 Riot Baton) was made using styrene and a Brickarms Halo SMG.
Also, painting and photographing flat white figures is a pain in the ass.
Hope you guys like the figure! :D
Project 365 // Day 320
A local vinyl shop, Dragatomi, hosted DrilOne’s all new solo show called “Greetings from Hell”, this past weekend. He is a great artist who customizes vinyl figures as well as all sorts of different things, including signs, toy cars and alarm clocks . He has a unique style, and has mastered the "corroded metal" look you see in this piece. I enjoyed looking through his gallery, and found this "Che Trooper" to be one of my favorites of his work.

1033 Western Trooper was on hand at Reading General when a class 50 failed on a Penzance service. It is just about to attach to the service.29/5/1976.
This is a mixture of original LEGOs and bootlegs. You can't hardly tell the difference except for a few lines here and there. The idea of the pouchs on the two troopers on the front line comes from Kyle Hardisty excellent photographs. If you do not know his photostream go have a look - he is really talented and I aspire to do photos like him one day.
I've kinda ran out of ideas at the moment... but I've had this Sandtrooper lying around since before Christmas so thought I'd do a quick shot and just mess about in photoshop.
Full marks if you noticed its the same shot of the sandtrooper flipped/scaled/blurred.... laziness on my part ;)
