From this point you had a beautiful view of the city, the late evening sun also enjoyed the sense of freedom.......

Bull Ring Shopping Centre, Birmingham.

From a Tripadvisor review:

One of the most iconic statue's in Birmingham in my opinion is The Bull in the Bullring shopping Centre.

This six ton bronze statue sculpured by Lawrence Broderick stands 2.2 metres high and shows this massive bull turning in motion and is a great introduction to the shopping centre.

In landscape photography, there are moments that will stay with you forever and this particular evening will definitely do that. Having spent the day wandering around Glenorchy, it was time to pull up to the small lay-by by the road (six cars max) and shoot sunset from Bennett's Bluff, as is customary when staying in Queenstown it seems.

Imagine my excitement when the colours started to build ahead of me with the clouds turning the most stunning shades of pink and orange. Oh my word, I was in seventh heaven. The sight of the snow capped peaks underneath such an incredible sunset will stay with me forever.

This beautiful place that has been photographed so often (but never by me) is so cool to have seen, here I could do a long exposure because I could borrow a tripod from the giant nice hotel owner for which I am very grateful otherwise I would not have been able to do this. Probably not worthy of Explore because I fall outside the algorithm of Flickr for various reasons, nevertheless I am very happy with it :-)

On Easter Sunday, I got up as early as 5:30 a.m. to photograph ground fog or sunrise in the beautiful fens, but when I go I am often unlucky and so neither happens. So I went for a nice walk and later in the day when the sun peeped through once in a while I tried to capture the landscape a bit.

It is a Neo-Classical building which was constructed 136 years ago. It was built in the yard of the first girls' school, built by Queen Saowapa. Later on after Queen Sunantha Kumariratana drowned in the Chao Phraya River King Rama V built this Sunanthalai Building in her memory.

As one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised all around the world. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet, and surrounded by some majestic scenery, it is little wonder that the castle is now one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish highlands.

Although first inhabited around the 6th century, the first fortified castle was built in the mid 13th century and stood guard over the lands of Kintail. Since then, at least four different versions of the castle have been built and re-built as the feudal history of Scotland unfolded through the centuries.

Hohenzollern Bridge, or Hohenzollernbrücke in German, is the second biggest tourist attraction in the German city of Cologne, the most densely populated city within the federal state of North-Rhine Westphalia. Of the seven bridges which cross the majestic River Rhine, Hohenzollern Bridge is the most famous for being the closest to the cathedral and for separating the industrial area from the historial area of the city. It's also the oldest bridge, built between 1907 and 1911, and is full of love locks, which I'll mention more in depth later.

This is an old one of the archives but still worth showing......

Jökulsárlón is a breathtaking glacier lagoon located in the southeast of Iceland, close to Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. This lagoon is known for its spectacular views of drifting icebergs breaking off the glacier and floating on the water. The contrast between the bright blue ice features and the dark, gathering clouds that sometimes gather above the lagoon creates a dramatic and mystical landscape.

When the sky is dark and threatening, the clouds can make the atmosphere of Jökulsárlón even more intense. The shadows that the clouds cast on the ice and the water surface give it an almost otherworldly appearance. This makes it a popular spot for photographers and nature lovers who want to capture the beauty of nature in all its forms.

The lagoon is also home to a variety of animals, including seals and various bird species, who benefit from the unique ecosystems that exist in and around the water. Jökulsárlón is a place where the powerful forces of nature come together, and it remains one of the most visited and beloved locations in Iceland.

Oh boy.... counterbalance.....:)

The Drommedaris, or Ketenpoort, was built in 1540 as a city gate, part of the city wall that then surrounded Enkhuizen. It was also a defense tower that watched over the city's ports and had a view of the then Zuiderzee. For a long time the building served as a prison and storage space......

This is a charming lock house that was used as a residence for the lock keeper at Minnewater for several centuries. What you see today was built in the 16th century and restored in the late 19th century, it is a lovely building similar to many others around Bruges, delightfully situated on the canal.

It remains for us who are used to the night, a strange experience when you are at a point where it will not really get dark, this beautiful viewpoint with the view of the city of Bergen I took in the evening around 23:45 hours, despite I am very happy with this shot.....

I wanted to capture this magnificent building in the blue hour, but a storm with rain came there in its place, however it turns to a dramatic plate where I am very happy with it

It isn’t possible to capture the Grand Canyon in a photo. It’s so big, so deep, so overwhelming. It’s quite frightening, really. It covers a million acres of land. It’s billions of years old, carved by water and wind. There’s nothing else like it.

Als je ooit voor zo'n bergmassief voor het eerst komt te staan, weet je niet waar je kijken moet en is alles zo overweldigend dat je eerst eens alles op je in moet laten werken voor je besluit te gaan fotograferen.....

The Bolivian Palace of Government, better known as Palacio Quemado (Burnt Palace), is the official residence of the President of Bolivia. It is located in downtown La Paz on Plaza Murillo, next to the La Paz Cathedral and across from the Bolivian legislature.

Its nickname originates from the fact that it was set aflame and burned almost to the ground during an uprising in 1875. It has since been rebuilt and revamped a number of times, but the name stuck.

The Palacio Quemado earned its nickname of the "Burnt Palace" in 1875, when it was badly damaged during a violent revolution. Rebels, who opposed then-President Tomás Frías Ametller, set the palace alight after they failed to storm it.

In front of the Palacio Quemado is the bust of former-President Gualberto Villarroel, who was dragged into the plaza by an angry mob and hanged by a lamppost in 1946.

The buildings were completed in 1853.

With all due respect please do not Arward and Banners for me, it contributes nothing and I prefer a fave or a comment, both is also warmly appreciated.....:-))

Salamanca's Plaza Mayor was constructed between 1729 and 1755. Not only is it one of the city's most beautiful locales, but it is also considered among the most beautiful plazas in all of Spain. Its Baroque style architecture of the 18th century, includes Spanish decorations of cut tablets, equilateral arches and four levels. Much of the daily and night life of Salamanca takes place in the Plaza Mayor.

“Riomaggiore's best kept secret” by Kiiri S.:

I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid I'll never get a table here again once everyone hears about how amazing it is. People complain about the Cinque Terre being overrun by tourists these days, but head a little bit off the beaten path and you'll find yourself sitting with a glass of wine and a sweeping view of the village and sea almost all to yourself. Fuori Rotta is run by three of the nicest, most hardworking guys, who add a touch of coolness and creativity to the Riomaggiore wine bar scene. The music is always perfect, the dishes imaginative, generous, and delicious, and the vibe is laid back and welcoming. Such an awesome find off the beaten track!

Walking along the canal at the blue hour with the city lights already on, it is easy to walk and enjoy this old historic part of the city.....
