We went to a small family circus at Carnac. Cirque Bourguignon if my memory is right. Two of the acts were amazing and as good as anything any of us have seen: a young man with a diabolo (in fact, up to 3), and two women acrobats who gave a (dare I say it) death-defying (and moving) performance.
Thoroughly recommended - and also, simply for the spectacle of watching a family of (I'm guessing) five generations.
We had the best seats, opposite the entrance, which made it feel like the performance was given to us, but if you're French isn't 100% (like ours...) beware, sitting there makes you the butt of a fair few jokes. But I got a free meal out of it.
Tip: if you get selected for the knife throwing act, keep still.
