HDR photography by Timothy Selvage of Thrust SSC at the Coventry Transport Museum... Just picked up my new car, I'd like to see the police stop me with a top land speed of 763mph (1228kph). No one is gonna catch me now, but parking may prove to be an issue...
Art and photography were meant to be shared.
You can also find me on Facebook and G+ so let's hook up and exchange.

Night time Long Exposure HDR Photography of the Houses of Parliment and Big Ben reflected in the River Thames, London, UK by Timothy Selvage.
Almost time for the new year!!!
The benefits of using TriggerTrap for a long exposure HDR. Just a few more bugs to fix and it'll be my perfect night time companion. Love it.

What to do on a rainy morning !!. Why not focus stack an unexpected visitor. This image was created using 10 photographs composited together using Zerene Stacker.
I used a bank of LED lights on the right hand side and a white card to the rear to bounce the light.
I used TriggerTrap to fire the camera to avoid camera shake.
Not your usual tourist pic of the London eye :-D What do you think? HDR Photography of an alleyway with grafitti kids on the wall. In the background you can see a merry-go-round and the London eye, UK by Timothy Selvage. In the foreground is a man pushing a trolley as it was the end of the night and some stall holders were preparing to pack up.

I got stuck in today and had a little play about with the trigger trap and a light on the turn table and the ten stop thanks for looking paul
Playing with my old iPod and the Triggertrap app using the motion detection to capture the water drop. Great little piece of equipment if you can get hold of one.
took this whilst out wandering. no tripod so rested the camera on a wall and used the triggertrap app on my iphone
Zaanse Schans is a neighbourhood of Zaandam, near Zaandijk in the Netherlands.
It has a collection of well-preserved historic windmills and houses. From 1961 to 1974 old buildings from all over the Zaanstreek (nl) were relocated using lowboy trailers to the area. The Zaans Museum, established in 1994, is located in the Zaanse Schans.
The Zaanse Schans is one of the popular tourist attractions of the Netherlands and an anchor point of ERIH, the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The neighbourhood attracted approximately 1.6 million visitors in 2014.
Perhaps the best thing about Christmas and New Year is that you get to spend time having a relaxing and lazy breakfast with your favourite robot. Coffee, croissants and the paper. Brilliant.
Thanks Helin, took me a while, but I wanted to make it a good one. Thanks again for your kindness and flattery!
I've been trying to find this place for ages. Thanks to another flickr user I found it. Well worth a visit (behind the Shakespear Pub on Fann Street).
Happy New Year, folks
This year, I’ve coined a new phrase to add to the lexicon of already impenetrable photographic jargon which we all love to use- and that is the Photography Hardship Coefficient (PHC). As I’m not a mathematician, this is of course a purely qualitative assessment representing the physical pain to perceived reward ratio for any given image. For instance, whilst attempting some hi speed photography last year with our newly acquired TriggerTrap device, my very good friend and fellow Flickrite (DW) managed to shoot a hole through his garage door. And of course there was no image to show for it as neither of us had actually bothered to read the manual or set up the hardware properly. However, there was quite a lot of pain when his partner returned home. In this situation the PHC (which equals the amount of pain taken to get the image divided by how well you think the image came out) approached infinity as the denominator was zero (no image). This isn’t a great result. And neither was the other weekend, when a long hike in Snowdonia resulted in some distinctly poor images from me and a bad dose of man flu.
But at the other end of the spectrum, there’s this place in Lofoten, which couldn’t really be much easier to shoot. Ok, it took 3 flights to get there from the UK but it’s not like you have to do anything other than sip G&T in airport lounges for a day. And once you’re there, there’s even a handy bridge to shoot from just a few short steps from the car park. In fact, the only pain is trying to find a spot that’s not already occupied by a dozen other photographers. Oh, and remembering to bring a tall enough tripod to clear the rail. Costas. All of a sudden, the PHC looks much better, no matter how your image comes out.
And so, as I recover from my severe case of grippe d’homme by watching a 12 hour real time train journey across Uzbekistan on Netflix, I’m thinking that this year will be different. My aim is to reduce my photography hardship coefficient as much as possible- something that maybe our world leaders could also consider if they were to change the P to Political.
Wishing you all a very happy new year. While it still lasts

2014 - November
Paris place de la concorde during blue hour, using a ND400 filter and triggertrap mobile app. as a remote in bulb mode
I just loved the contrasts between the steady autumn trees and the couple watching the sunset, and the effects created by the long exposure on the futuristic wheel and the clouds. A great sign of the effect of time
Het zag er vanochtend alles behalve vredig en zonnig uit. Na een mislukt rondje macro nog even naar een locatie waar ik eerder ben geweest om mn nieuwe triggertrap te testen.
I deleted the last image because of some wrong settings. What I saw on my laptop screen was not the same what I saw on Flickr. Now I fixed the problem and a new upload:)
This photo was taken on a recent trip to the Lake District, England. The Duke of Portland boathouse is probably the most photographed boathouse in the entire Lake District. On this particular day the weather was terrible and this photo was taken in-between heavy rain showers... which was challenging to say the least.
The equipment I used to capture this shot was a Canon 5D MK3 camera, 24-105mm L Series lens, Lee Big Stopper and a TriggerTrap device hooked up to my iPhone. Post processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Thanks for looking and if you like this photo please feel free to check out some of my other work :)
Shooting from on top of the gorge, a car makes its way down the windy pass and also managing to capture the last of the colour from 'Blue Hour'.
2014 November in Paris
Picture taken almost straight out of the camera. I loved the contrasts between the antic fountain & the futuristic look of the wheel with a long exposure. The cars in the background remind us that we are still in 2014

Adjust your brightness to max to get max detail. Partially cloudy sky is my favorite photography subject during the sunset. It makes all around you more dramatic and intense at the same time. Used a Canon 6D, 17-40mm f4L and @triggertrap remote control.
Got up at 2:30 am to drive down to Durdle Door this morning. Wasn't the sunrise I was hoping for, but still happy with the results.
Used the Triggertrap Mobile App to calculate and trigger the photo, also used a 10 Formatt Hitech filter to slow down the exposure and smooth the water
De Gekroonde Poelenburg (English: The Crowned Poelenburg) is a paltrok mill in Zaandam, North Holland, Netherlands which has been restored to working order. As all Dutch paltrok mills it is a windpowered sawmill. The mill is listed as a monument. It is located at the Zaanse Schans in a group of several historic industrial windmills near Amsterdam

Last night I was feeling ambitious, so I went down to the beach of Inverhuron to do some long exposure photography. There was not much of a colourful sunset. September 28 2015

Best seen on black, so hit the "L" key
So headed out around 5am this morning with the hopes of a decent sunrise and a chance to test my new 100x100mm Formatt-Hitech Firecrest IRND Filters both 10 & 16 Stops. The clouds that I'd hoped for and the BBC weather app had predicted were well of in the distance behind me so there was little hope of any cloud streaks. The River Thames however provided enough movement in this scene to not make it a wasted effort, as the tide was rushing back out to sea.
As the light levels were quite low I thought I'd start off with my 10 stop Firecrest and no word of a lie there was no colour cast and I've done very little in terms of editing to this image, just a few minor adjustments in LR5.
Hope you all had a great Easter Bank Holiday and look forward to catching up with your work over the coming week ;)
