Day 316/365

We decided to work on a series of "Urban Ballerina" shots with my good friend...she's an excellent dancer with over 20 years of ballet experience. We shot all over NYC and I will be posting photos over the next few days.

I am actually quite surprised that after shooting about 700 images and also 4 rolls of film...about 400 of them can be used and printed without any alterations.

Enjoy

Formerly the Liquor Store Bar, and perhaps and actual liquor store at one time, this longtime Tribeca favorite has turned into a nicely disguised J. Crew. While there might be a bottle under the counter this store is really a men's clothes store with an old school haberdashery interior.

I was in the right place @ the right time for this gem to just roll right by.

Client Work - Jaheem Slain (GEO)

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the start to your week :) Today I will be sharing another set of photos of a full sim that The Design Firm has been commissioned to build out, landscape & design a portion of the interiors, by our client Jaheem.

This set of photos focuses primarily on the two FELGO “Ascaya Residence” builds on the sim & surrounding areas. Our client requested that the house be used twice, each having an identical landscape & layout. Normally I am not a fan of having multiple of the same builds on a residential sim, let alone each having a near identical landscape & layout. However, as the two Felgo homes are at the very beginning of the street, directly across from one another, it created a symmetrical look that I ended up falling in love with. Pairing that with the minimal & modern landscape of each home, water features throughout, as well as the roughness of the surrounding cliffs & sandy beach, you get the perfectly appointed modern estate (X2!)

As always, thank you for continuously following & supporting the work of myself & my colleagues at The Design Firm. It means the world to us!

Lastly, I always recommend viewing my photos in full screen mode when able! This allows you to see the true depth and detail of the spaces that my colleagues and I create for our clients.

P.S. If you would like to know the name of the store or designer who has created any of the pieces that you see in this photo, please feel free to send me a notecard in world (Brinks Lemmon) or send me a Flickr/Facebook message and I'd be happy to send you the store/designer information.

1997

I have rescanned some of my Tribeca/downtown negatives to replace the poorly scanned shots I had in my "Old New York" album from a few years ago.

Have some more to do and will delete the old ones and add as I go.

1997 NYC

The last of the old TRIBECA and some Wall St area, many of these old shops and restaurants were either already closed or soon to, awaiting the new shiny glass buildings that would replace them.

Rescanning some of my older photos for better quality, and will replace the shot that has been in my "old NY" album over the last few years.

To view in stereo, sit 2-3 feet from the monitor and gently cross your eyes so that the two images become three. The one in the middle will be in 3d. If you are finding this difficult, you may be trying too hard. Viewing the original size is best.

It's much darker than it appears in the picture. It's difficult to walk around because it's pitch black and your eyes don't get used to it because of the random car lights or occasional police lights that destroy your night vision.
