ODC+trend - past, present or future
This is my first Steampunk hat, my husband and I created it together last summer.
Steampunk came into prominence in the early 1980’s when the term was coined by K.W. Jeter. It’s a world of gears and sprockets, goggles, brass and leather and rust and polished woods. It’s making a mark in fashion, industrial design and in graphic design. Think of Jules Vern mixed with The Wild Wild West and the Victorian Era and you get the idea. If you search flickr using the term Steampunk you will find quite a few pictures and if you Google it you will find thousands and thousands of references. This is a very very cool genre and oh so much fun!
TRENDS IN THE STRUCTURES OF THE CENTURIES
The boundless desire for originality has never been able to do without sources of inspiration. When it comes to fashion applications and costume jewellery creations made from Czech beads and seed beads, inspiration may essentially be taken from any source in the world of nature or indeed from the most diverse areas of human endeavour. When preparing its collection for the 2016-2017 Autumn/Winter season, PRECIOSA ORNELA took its inspiration from distinctive elements in the history of Czech architecture. As such, the company can offer many new themes when using the popular original beads from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads brand.
Let us therefore take our inspiration from lofty gothic pinnacles and the playful meanders of floral art nouveau decorations, make use of graceful and timeless arches and play with the fragile spindles of renaissance balustrades. The refined pallet of colours and sharp contrasts is sure to find a place here. Let us embark on a journey into history and look for new themes in the STRUCTURES OF THE CENTURIES.

This image brings an end to my thoroughly unscientific and inaccurate trending series. I originally came up with the idea hoping to shine a light on the mindset of our society and the things they find interesting or want to know more about. This leads to questions of WHY do people find these things interesting…and who is generating this interest? Take from it what you will…I’m sure my interpretation is different from yours. Either way, I hope you enjoyed my little experiment. My head is swimming with ideas for another. :)
BTW…I mostly used the Google search engine only because I couldn’t find a better alternative.

When I arrived at Yatton station on the morning of Friday 17th July 2020 I was surprised to find a solitary car occupying a space in the down side car park. I'm sure that for many weeks prior to this the car park would have been completely empty.
Meanwhile, Class 165 diesel multiple unit No. 165135 has arrived with 2D52, the 06:38 Taunton to Bristol Parkway service, and passes Class 158 diesel multiple unit No. 158762 (together with an unrecorded sister unit) which is in charge of 2C63, the 07:03 Bristol Temple Meads to Taunton service.

Using call-sign 'Gold 11', US Air Force 305 AMW Boeing KC-46A Pegasus 21-46093 shepherds a trio of Lakenheath based F-15E Strike Eagles aka 'Trend 51, 52 & 53'. A fourth, 'Trend 54' had launched with them as an 'Air Spare' returning to LN once this trio were well on their way near Seaford Head
Along with the pair seen close in, the third is in the top right hand section of the frame
Weather was bright and tad hazy so poor for long-range visibility and photography but thankfully, the tanker's fin glinted in the afternoon sunshine - hence how I found them.
Unfortunately the same didn't apply to all the earlier formations flying the same route which passed by unseen
As a rider - this trio may possibly be attrition replacements for the recent 'friendly fire' losses
