Keefer Lake, Ontario, Canada - This one is for Jane and others who I mislead in my last posting by referring to Loons when the photo depicted only ducks ... an unforgivable sin for a true northerner like myself who thinks the call of the Loon brings you closer to your maker :)

There are four basic calls - the tremelo, wail, hoot and yodel. The wail is a particular favourite and never fails to make me contemplate my good fortune in life - not the least of which is being able to live amongst and be serenaded by Loons.
