The large yard we've inherited was completely overgrown with invasive exotics, like wisteria, and several trees needed to be removed. This is a member of the crew from Don's tree service. Not only were they strong, but these guys didn't wear gloves. They must have callouses on their hands a half inch thick.

We decided that two big trees just had to go. I am sad to lose them, but they had grown too big for our garden. As you can see, this one had grown through the phone lines and every time there was a storm, we were afraid that the thrashing branches would tear down the wires. We'll get much more sun on the front of our house now, so it should be less gloomy and the front garden should be less damp.
