Final painting... and look who showed up... The elder Treewomyn at the

base of the tree.... Who knew that they were there.... just popped up at

the last minute of the drawing.... They make a cosy threesome... don't

you think??

see my notes on each one of them..............

This is one of those paintings that had no preconceived tho't or idea but

just came..... one brush stroke at a time but speaks volumes about what

is real and sacrad to me...... womyn, earth, trees, magic, trust, belief in magic,

artwork, spontaneity, trusting the process.......

When I was a kid, I actually thought we were filthy rich. The statment that frequented my lips was "I want" not once, to my recollection did I utter "can we afford for me to want" but then again what kid does ask that question? As far as I was concerned money was paper, paper was made from trees...you see where I'm going and of course, in my mind, we had an invisible money tree in our backyard, where else did all of our money come from?

But as I got older (10ish), the harsh reality that the words "I want" doesnt make things magically appear and the fact that there was no money tree, FINALLY sunk in, I then learned my biggest and maybe my first life lesson: MONEY DOESNT GROW ON TREES!

Unless you have a magical one like mine. I won it in a bet...and they only made one...and no I'm not sharing! :)

Only in pixels could you defy gravity this way. The budgies decided to create a tower of themselves. Immortalis decided to hop on top and balance his roots on their tiny feathered noggins. Cannot believe we call this a job ... lol. We love this place.

We called it the secret garden after we found it behind a cafe in Takapuna on the North Shore in Auckland. Dining under a huge plum tree. Magic!

Curiously, we never found it again.

That was in 2009.

Just recently I got a discount voucher offer for a Swiss cafe featuring a tree in its courtyard.

I was sure it was 'our tree'.

And yes, it was.

The grounds had been levelled, tiled court, more chairs and tables but it didn't have that secret garden feel anymore

Tree shapes and shadows in the woods at Meldon.

this is the magic tree at school. everyone calls it that because it looks like it's magic and we found an unopened toblerone on one the branches the other week so we went around giving chocolate to random people at school, it made people smile.

I´m Ai Enma.

Although not originally this way, Ai has a cold personality. Even in emotion-evoking situations, she doesn't appear moved in the least. Additionally, Ai is oddly silent and serious. She seems to only talk when the need arises, rarely speaking simply for the sake of it. In the event that Ai does talk out of ordinary circumstances, it is about something which she believes is necessary for someone to know, or to correct somebody where needed. The main reason for her introverted personality is due to her emotions being locked up when she was made into the Jigoku Shoujo.

I'm finally catching up on my posts. Things got really busy for me right after Christmas and I never got around to processing these shots. Better late than never.

Savanah got this Christmas Tree last year. Being that she got it on Christmas day, we decided to wait until Christmas Eve this year to open it up and use it.

You pour the "magic" water into the base and in twelve hours it grows crystal leaves. Even though we told Savanah that it would take twelve hours, she kept checking on it every few minutes. The rest of us weren't much better.

If we ever do a tree thing like this again I think I might try and time lapse it. We'd have to set it up earlier in they day though. I wasn't about to camp out in Kathy's parent's kitchen over night snapping a picture every 30 minutes are so.
