The Trillium Treehouse received its name from a brilliant white lily-like flower that grows every year at the base of a tremendous cedar tree that is its host. The trillium is a great indicator species that announces each April that the forest is in excellent health. Indeed, the forest at Treehouse Point is in prime condition and there is no more perfect place to gaze out over and into it than from the two-story wall of windows that is the Trillium treehouse. Climbing sixteen feet up a winding staircase, the first floor offers an open floor plan with two elegant reading chairs, a writing desk and a place to store your travel belongings. Climb a ships ladder to the loft where you will find another signature queen-size bed, the view from which we surely have one mesmerized. There is no toilet room in the Trillium so be aware that the bathroom is just ten yards from the bottom of the stairs.

The Upper Pond Treehouse was designed with families in mind. It overlooks the serine upper pond and across to the Nest Treehouse, thus creating an arboreal world unto itself. The two treehouses seem to call to each other. The Upper Pond can sleep 4 individuals in two separate bunk beds, while the Nest might host mom and dad in a signature handmade queen size bed. There is room to spread out in the Upper Pond with a table that can seat six. There is a private toilet in the Upper Pond and a full bathroom is shared with the other treehouses and is a short distance away. An outside deck adds to the space during the summer months. The Nest has an ample outside deck as well that looks back to its sister treehouse. The Nest’s interior has just enough room for a love seat at the foot of the bed, and the full bathroom is about a hundred feet away through the woods. Each is nestled sweetly in grand cedar and spruce trees.

This is the place that everyone flips over. Built in 2006-7 the Temple of the Blue Moon borrowed its lines from the Parthenon in Athens, and is completely supported by an ancient Sitka spruce and western red cedar. The treehouse averages 16 feet of elevation above a sloping forest floor, is merely 70 feet from the cacophonous Raging River, and is connected to terra firma by a 30 foot long chain bridge. Inside one will find just enough room for two classic leather reading chairs, a writing desk, a bookcase, a beautiful hand crafted armoire and one of Treehouse Point’s signature queen size beds. Golden fir walls are insulated and keep guests snug and toasty year-round. An i-pod dock and CD player are the only electronics. Full windows surround. For guest’s convenience there is a tiny toilet room opposite the entry door. The main bathroom is directly across the bridge, and is shared with the other treehouses. The Temple also offers a deck that overlooks the quintessential Northwest forest and mostly peaceful river. At the right time of year one might spot spawning salmon and steelhead trout as they fight their way upriver. The Temple of the Blue Moon is a place to relax and enjoy your companion, the river, and the mossy green abundance of nature.
